White Willow Box March 2017

White Willow is a monthly lifestyle box that sends out surprise items from beauty, fashion, home, culinary, or all around lifestyle themes.  They ship out four to five items and are a Canadian company.  That makes me so happy I was okay paying slightly more than I normally would for a box.  They promise a value of $70, so let’s hope they meet that.  Subscriptions start at $35 a month but do go down a bit with longer plans.  Shipping to here is $8.50/month.  They are changing all that up starting now.  If you subscribe now you will get boxes every other month.  Anyone who was already on a plan will continue to get boxes monthly until their time is up.

They do a beautiful wrap up of their boxes.  Each month you can tell someone has taken some time and made an effort to make each one special.  The box was heavy this month but this first look doesn’t show me what would be causing that.

They do a wonderful info card as well.  The images are stunning and inside they have all the items with a little write-up on them and the values.

Nourishing Hand Wash and Body Lotion Set by Pecksniff’s England-$16.00

Apparently, I’m not very mature today as I keep giggling at the company name.  If I can get past that, this set is nice.  It comes in a holder that will work for other bottles once these are gone.  You could have received one of two scents and I got the Almond & Shea version.  This is a surprisingly masculine scent.  I really like it!

20170416_201453

Replenishing Night Creme by By Nature from New Zealand-$17.00

This night face lotion is meant to replenish and restore tired and dry skin.  There was also two versions sent out of this one and I got the Rosehip Oil.  This is good for all skin types and is especially helpful for stressed skin.

20170308_175449

Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover by Sephora-$10.00

I am almost out of eye makeup remover so this is going to be handy soon.  I rarely wear actual waterproof makeup but if it can take that off it should have no problems with my standard stuff.  This remover is paraben, sulphate, and phthalate free.

20170308_175340

Quinoa Quickies by Top Tier Foods-$6.00

This one is going to be a hard sell to the family.  We have managed to eat couscous but it was a struggle.  I have never had quinoa just on its own like this, though I enjoy it in baked goods or snack foods.  I’m slightly confused by the fact that it’s vegan but chicken flavoured.

20170308_175608

Notepad with Clipboard by Lady Jayne Ltd.-$10.00

I actually really like this notepad and clipboard.  One of my biggest problems is that I write something down and then to cross it off I need to find a table or wall or other hard surfaces to not stab holes in it.  This pad has 75 sheets so I should be good for a while.

Set Of Two White Bowls by Grace’s Teawear-$16.00

These bowls are different.  They are porcelain and have gold trim on the edges.  They also have a raised diamond pattern around the outside.  They are about the size of a cereal bowl and are dishwasher safe.  Obviously, with the gold rim, they cannot go in the microwave.

The value this time is $75.00.  This month had items I like and will use. I think it was a good combination of things to break up your Winter and yet keep you prepared.   Sometimes you find things you can no longer live without and sometimes not so much.  I am always happy to find a Canadian box and this one is a good one! If you want to try them out click here.

White Willow February 2017

The box feels a little lighter than it has other months but I know with this one that doesn;t mean it’s a bad box.  I couldn’t see very much through the squiggles so it stays a surprise.

They have a very great info card with this box.  It is beautiful and inside they tell you all about your items.

Fragrance Medallion by D.L. & Co.-$34.00

There were two scents that you could have received and I got the Lady Rhubarb.  It smells nice and I think it would be the better of the two.  This is a ceramic disc that is made to be hung or placed in small spaces like closets or drawers.  You add a couple of drops of the oil to the disc every few weeks to keep it smelly.

Gold Foil Polka Dots Plate-$19.00

It says you can serve food on this but I wouldn’t.  It is hand wash only and I’ll be adding it to my jewellery drawer as a catch-all for little things.  I think the pattern is fun and the dish is delicate and I like it.

Playing Footsie Foot Soak by Barefoot Venus-$16.25

I love the Barefoot Venus brand and am happy to get anything from them.  It does have coconut milk in it and the smell is soft and pretty.  It has a lot in this jar so it will give many foot soaks.  I probably should use them more in the winter when my feet are abused but I think I’ll save it for summer when my feet are on display a whole lot more.

20170209_180432Lip Macaron by MOR Australia-$14.00

This was another item that had multiple flavour options and I got Lychee Flower.  It smells great and feels lovely on my lips.  It has a few different oils in it to do basically everything you could want to make your lips amazing.  It also adds a slight shine so you can use it as a finishing lip product.

20170209_180359Carmello Pocket Chocolate Bar by Urge Chocolates-$5.00

How can you be unhappy getting chocolate?  This bar has a creamy caramel layer in between dark chocolate and topped with sea salt.  It is smaller than a normal bar but I think it will satisfy those cravings that sometimes happen for chocolate.

The value this time is $88.25.  This month had items I ike, and will use. I think it was a good combination of things to break up your Winter and yet keep you prepared.   Sometimes you find things you can no longer live without and sometimes not so much.  I am always happy to find a Canadian box and this one is a good one! White Willow January 2017

I know I say it every time but the presentation of this box is amazing.  They take so much care in how they make it look and feel like a present each month.

They also include a professional looking info card that tells you what items you received, a little about each item, and the price of them.

20170110_1932182017 Weekly Planner by Lady Jane Ltd.-$18.00

This is a very pretty planner.  I know I’m a little late getting this post up but this box arrived early in January so this would have been on time.  I had already bought and begun using a planner a while before this so it’s not really useful for me personally but I think it was a great inclusion.  There was a chance for two different cover styles.

20170110_193207Fingerless Sweater Knit Winter Gloves-$10.00

I have a pair of these and I love them so I’m very happy to get another one.  The palms on these ones do not have the cable pattern so they lay flat on your hand.  They do have the thumb hole in them and they go from my knuckles to three inches past my wrists. You could have received one of six colours and I got Dark Grey.

20170110_193107Cosmetic Beauty Sponge by W.O.W. Beauty Los Angeles-$6.00

I think this is the fifth makeup sponge I’ve received and I’m still using the first one!  None of my other ones has a gold belt, though.  I do use it every day so having backup is nice.

20170110_193128Naked Skin Beauty Balm by Urban Decay-$43.00

Let me start off by saying that Urban Decay is a brand I would live in if I had unlimited funds to do so.  This BB cream is for your whole body.  It has a minty scent and a slight shimmer.  It looks like it would leave a colour on your skin but doesn’t once you rub it on.  It has all sorts of benefits and might now have to give up on lattes to buy more once it runs out.  I absolutely love this!!!!!

20170110_193153Fairtrade Organic 72% Dark Chocolate with Blueberries and Lavender by Earth’s Choice-$5

OOOOOOOH a chocolate bar!  I normally give all dark chocolate to my Hubby but I think he’d turn down one with these flavours anyways.  This bar is organic, fair trade, gluten and soy free, and made with no preservatives.  I’ve never had anything where I ingest lavender before so this will be a new experience along with a treat.

The value this time is $82.00.  This month had items I like, and will use. I think it was a good combination of things to break up your Winter and yet keep you prepared.   Sometimes you find things you can no longer live without and sometimes not so much.  I am always happy to find a Canadian box and this one is a good one! White Willow December 2016

This box has such a beautiful presentation.  They take so much care to make sure you feel special when you open it up.  Everything inside is safely packed so nothing gets damaged in transit.

They have an info card that is lovely and tells you all about the items you will find inside your box.

They also sent me a Holiday Card, which makes me happy. There is also three mini candy canes.  YAY!!!

Double Layered Necklace with White Marble-$28.00

So first off, this came in it’s own little present box. Inside that was a velvet bag that held the necklace.  I think this is a gorgeous necklace and love the marble.  I also like that it’s two chains attached only at the clasp.

Glistening Snow Gilded Winter Candle with Metallics Collection Matches by Greenmarket Purveying Co.-$17.00

This is a very smelly candle.  In a good way though.  It smells like green pine with a hint of vanilla.  It will definitely add that pine tree smell to the house when I burn it so I think it’ll wait until Xmas Day.  The matches are a nice inclusion.

20161211_174452

Lip Locked Priming Gloss Stain by Manna Kadar in Lucky-$32.00

I’ve received a few items from this brand before in other boxes and I like them.  This one is a pink shade that is pretty neutral.  I like that it’s not sticky on my lips and for a stain, it’s not dry feeling.

20161211_174348

Dry Hands Rescue Mask by Kocostar-$5.00

I have never tried a hand mask before.  You simply slide your hands into the gloves and wear for 20 minutes.  Once you’re done you toss the gloves and rub any leftover serum into your hands.  At the end you should have super soft hands for days.

20161211_174610-1

Chocolate Chip Walnut Biscotti by Murchie’s Fine Tea & Coffee-$10.00

These are going straight to my hubby.  I hate biscotti.  I can think if nothing more gross than dunking things into a warm liquid and eating them.  Ugghhh…..even thinking about it makes me cringe.  I’m just going to assume these are lovely.

The value this time is $92.00.  This month had items I like, except the biscotti. It also fells very Christmasy.  Sometimes you find things you can no longer live without and sometimes not so much.  I am always happy to find a Canadian box and this one is a good one! If you want to try them out click here.

White Willow November 2016

20161110_124257 20161110_124311

I love opening this box up.  It is a big present and just seeing it makes me happy.  They have put a lot of work into their packaging, as well as their items.

20161110_124321 20161110_124333

They also have a really great info card.  It tells you about each item, with a picture, and gives you the value.

20161110_124428

Shea Body Butter by The Body Shop-$21.00

I think this is one of the few Body Shop scents I haven’t tried.  Their body butter is amazing and makes your skin feel fantastic.  At this time of year, more moisture is a good thing.  So using this one!

20161110_124713

Fragrance Diffuser by GC Signature-$19.00

I received the Winter Wonderland scent but you could have got one of five options.  I like diffusers but with little kids it can be a bit hairy to find a home for them that can’t be played with.  This is a beautiful item and I will be getting it out as soon as I can.

20161110_124454 20161110_124514

Set of Two Tealight Holders-$8.00

These are lovely!  The included the tealights as well.  You can even stack them on top of each other to make one taller tealight.  They are very heavy and glass.  I think these will be very pretty on a table for a special meal or just to light up the bathroom when I need a break.

20161110_124546 20161110_124357

Radiance Facial Toning Mist by Scentuals Body Care-$29.00

This is a toner that you can use either as spray or you can mist it onto a cotton pad and wipe it on your face.  It has a pleasant smell and my skin feels good after applying it.  It has a whole bunch of things in it to make it work and is 100% natural.

20161110_124405

Dried Fruit Snack by H&H-$5.00

This was another item this month that had a variation.  There were two possible types and I received the Thai Honey Mango.  I haven’t had too much dried mango but I enjoy most dried fruits and I’m thinking this will be the same.

The value this time is $102.00.  This month had items more to my personal tastes than last month. As a result,  I like everything in it and will gladly try it all out.  Sometimes you find things you can no longer live without and sometimes not so much.  I am always happy to find a Canadian box and this one is a good one! If you want to try them out click here.

White Willow October 2016

20161012_174859 20161012_174915

They do such a good job on the packaging of this box.  I know I say it every month, but it’s way above some of the other boxes I get and everything arrives in perfect condition and there is always something that could break or leak and just be a big mess.

20161012_174925 20161012_174936

They do a great job on their info card as well.  It has lovely pictures, a brief bit about each item, and a value for them.

Rose Gold Mirror Photo Frame-$22.00

So it seems I don’t have a photo of this one…..not really sure what happened there.  You can see it in the card above.  It is very shiny and beautiful.  It would look nice with a family picture or maybe one of my Hubby and I, except those don’t exist in our house.  I’m sure eventually I’ll find a picture that will work.  It holds a 4x6in photo.

20161012_174952 20161012_175005

Juicy Bamboo Gentle Facial Cleansing Oil Cloths by Kaia Naturals-$15.50

These are award winning cleansing cloths and instead of stripping the skin of everything good along with your makeup they leave the natural oils you want.  The packaging is cute but it’ll be a little while before I use these since I have a bit of a stockpile of cleansing cloths.

20161012_175051

Maple Pumpkin Butter by Wildly Delicious-$6.50

I have no idea what I would use this for.  I don’t like pumpkin anything so this doesn’t appeal to me right off the bath.  Maybe I will need to have this go into a gift for someone else?? Shhhh, don’t tell.

20161012_175206

Large Blanket Scarf-$40.00

This is my first blanket scarf.  It is warm and Christmassy and I’m sure I don’t know how to wear it.  I have a basic idea based on seeing other people wear them so I guess I will just go with that and see if someone says what the hell are you doing?

20161012_175113

Pumpkin Spice Lindt Truffles-Bonus

Gah!!! Why of all the flavours of these that exist would they have to pick the one that I have zero desire to eat???  Maybe I will take these to work, where free chocolate is never questioned.

Box number seven…..awesome. The value this time is $84.00.  This month had items that are so-so for me.  I like the scarf and the photo frame but the pumpkin items are just not for me.   Sometimes you find things you can no longer live without and sometimes not so much.  I am always happy to find a Canadian box and this one is a good one! If you want to try them out click here.

White Willow September 2016

20160915_181812

These guys have some of the best packaging in the business.  It is so professional and well done.

20160915_181830 20160915_181843

Even inside everything is perfect.  They make sure to bubble wrap anything fragile and nothing shifts around.

20160915_181850 20160915_181857

They also do a beautiful info card.

20160915_182120 20160915_182126

Decorative Ceramic Vase by Indigo-$24.00

This is an odd vase.  You could only get one stem or a few very thin ones in there.  I like it but don’t know if it’s practical for the flowers I normally get.

20160915_182007

Crabtree & Evelyn Ultra Moisturizing Hand Cream-$11.00

There were four scents possible to receive and I got Avacado with Olive and Basil.  This smells amazing!  I enjoy this brand but rarely have any around.  It makes my hands feel great and I want to savour every last bit of it.

20160915_182044

Jotter Notes by Indigo-$11.95

I love this!  I think these will go on my desk so I alone can use them and have them not be wasted on others ramblings.

20160915_181955

Geo Stud Earrings-$15.00

These are very nice and I will wear them.  They are a pale cream colour with gold around the outside.  They are not too big and will go with many things.  You could have received one of three shapes.

20160915_181912

Parmesan Flutes by Chez Christophe-$6.00

Who doesn’t love  a good bread stick??  These will be enjoyed after the kids are in bed.  They look delicious and crispy. Can’t wait.

20160915_181936

Bath & Body Works Fine Fragrance Mist-$6.50

This was another item that had a few scent options.  I received French Lavender Honey.  It is so sensual, I can’t stop smelling myself.  I love this and have never picked this one up in B&BW but I’l be on the look out now.  Love it.

Box number six…..great. The value this time is $74.45.  This month had items more to my personal tastes than last month. As a result,  I like everything in it and will gladly try it all out.  Sometimes you find things you can no longer live without and sometimes not so much.  I am always happy to find a Canadian box and this one is a good one! White Willow August 2016

20160812_195952

The have a beautiful box that safely arrives inside a plain shipping box.

20160812_200002 20160812_200018

Even the inside is all wrapped up like a great gift.  Couldn’t see much of whatever is hiding in the squiggles.

20160812_200034 20160812_200042

They have a beautiful info card too.  They take great care in making this feel like a special treat for their subscribers.  The card tells you what you received, it’s value, and a little bit about them.

20160812_200310 20160812_200317

Ceramic Berry Basket-$18.00

This could have been sent out in either yellow or the blue, which I got.  I like it but I don’t know what to do with it.  My kids will break it of I have it out at a reachable level.  I’ll need to make it a decorative item somehow.

20160812_200158

Julep Glass Dish by Mudlark-$16.00

I have a similar one of these on my dresser right now and it works for my rings so I think this one will end up there too.  It is very pretty and will make it easier to keep things from wandering around my dresser.

20160812_200110

Citrus Amaro Hand Cream by Skin & Co. Roma-Bonus Item

This smells great!  It is a nice cream, very think and absorbs quickly.  It is just a small size which I think is why they made it a bonus item instead of including it.

20160812_200058

Sephora Collection Sleeping Mask-$5.00

You could have received any of the five options Sephora sells and I got the Green Tea.  I think is is actually the one I would buy if I was going to.  It can help reduce oil and the look of imperfections, and leaves your skin smooth and matte.  It’s more of a night cream in that you apply it before bed and then just leave it on until you wash your face in the morning.

20160812_200255

Herbs de Provence Oil by La Tourangelle-$11.00

This is an infused oil.  It has rosemary and thyme in sunflower oil.  You can use it in any dish you would normally add oil with and sunflower has a high heat point so it’s good for cooking with as well.

20160812_200130

Citrus Amaro Shower Gel by Skin & Co. Roma-$23.00

So remember that awesome lotion from above?  Now we get the full sized shower gel in the same scent.  So happy right now!  This is going to be so luxurious to use!  Must keep it away from the kids though.

Box number five…..still awesome! The value this time is $73.00.  This month had items more to my personal tastes than last month. As a result,  I like everything in it and will gladly try it all out.  Sometimes you find things you can no longer live without and sometimes not so much.  I am always happy to find a Canadian box and this one is a good one!

20160718_143404

This subscription has the nicest and most professional of all the boxes I receive.  It is truly a gift each month.

20160718_143421

Under all that wrapping I could only see one thing!  Darn it.

20160718_143430 20160718_143438

They have a lovely info card.  It lists your items, along with a description about them and the value.

20160718_143659

My Metallics Collection Mug “Believe” by Ashdene-$18.00

This is a bone china mug with a great message on it.  It is unfortunately hand wash only and not able to go in the microwave which means I may not use it as much as I would want to.

20160718_143453

Makeup Bag by Sweet Water Decor-$26.00

This bag is huge.  It would hold all of my makeup plus my toiletries and a brush.  It is made from cotton canvas and has a zippered top.

20160718_143510

Split Pan Bronzer & Highlighter by Manna Kadar Cosmteics-$27.00

This is everywhere lately.  This is actually the third one of these I’ve received in a month.  The bronzer is too dark for me but I like the highlighter.  Obviously won’t be opening this one up anytime soon.

20160718_143623

Dolce De Leche Caramel Spread by Caramoomel Natural Fine Food Creations-$6.00

This is a gooey caramel spread that can be served over breakfast, cakes, cookies, fruit, ice cream, or in your coffee.  I don’s use much caramel sauce but I’m thinking this deserves a treat.

20160718_143551

White Bud Vases-$12.00

These are lovely and I have some flowers blooming in my beds right now that will work in these.  They are a soft white and have a semi shiny glaze on them that keeps them from looking too modern.

My fourth box leaves me just as impressed as my first three boxes from White Willow. The value is $89.00.  This month had items more to my personal tastes than last month. As a result,  I like everything in it and will gladly try it all out.  Sometimes you find things you can no longer live without and sometimes not so much.  I am always happy to find a Canadian box and this one is a good one! 16oz Flip-Top Define Bottle-$30.00

This is the tallest water bottle I’ve ever seen.  The bottom half can be used for infusing your water with fruit or other such things.   It is BPA free and the bottom piece is freezable to keep everything nice and cool.  It was actually designed by a teen entrepreneur.

Cake Shaped Towel by Cotture Towel-$16.00

It seems like maybe there were a few different types of cakes sent out.  I haven’t got a clue what one I ended up with but it’s cute.  The girls will love using it and I like the novelty of it.

Foxy’s Gourmet Savory Dips in Pesto-$9.00

This is a dry mix that you add to sour cream, fresh herbs, and parmesan cheese.  You can dip breads, vegetables, or even put it on grilled meats.  This is something nice to have on hand for entertaining or maybe a special date night.

Eyes by ToGoSpa Ice Water Collagen Gel Pads-$17.00

I’ve received these before and like them.  You can even get a subscription of these if you really, really like them.  They are very puffy feeling and I enjoy using them.  They will join my small stash of masks and such to be used in turn.

100% Natural Certified Organic Syrup by Steeves Maples-Bonus Item

This is included as a gift from Culinary Team Canada.  They will be on their way to Germany to compete in October.  I almost never have pure maple syrup in the house because it’s just too expensive so this will be a lovely treat.  There isn’t much that is more delicious or Canadian than this.

My third box leaves me just as impressed as my first two boxes from White Willow. The value is $72.00 plus the maple syrup.  This month had items more to my personal tastes than last month. As a result,  I like everything in it and will gladly try it all out.  Sometimes you find things you can no longer live without and sometimes not so much.  I am always happy to find a Canadian box and this one is a good one!
