The Crafty Mail Cupid’s Crush February 2017

The Crafty Mail is an Etsy shop that sells planner clips and glitter dipped tumblers.  They also put together a subscription box of items from themselves and other sellers, which is what I went with.  Boxes can be pre-ordered a few month in advance and you’ll know the theme before you buy.  Boxes are $38.47CAD a month or go down quite a bit if you buy more than one at a time.  Shipping is included in the price.  I used to get a similar box a while ago that had a different mix of items and liked it so decided to give this one a try.  The nice thing about boxes like this is that not all of the companies will ship to Canada so you’d never get to have their products any other way.  This month is Cupid’s Crush.

The box was more full than last month so that’s good.  This is a bonus box for me since last months was so small they sent out a free one to make up for it.

20170219_200150They have a card that tells you which Etsy store the items came from.

20170219_200438Cupid’s Helper Herbal Tea by Kiper’s Lil Tea Shop-$2.08

They include a tea bag from this company every month and this one seems like a good one.  It has red rooibos, Catuaba bark, passionflower, linden flower, cacao shells and nibs.  This will be drank up soon.

20170219_200344Stemless Wine Glass by The Crafty Mail-$15.00

I tend to not have wine in these glasses but they work wonderfully for any drink.  This saying is fun and I think it may inspire me to go out and buy some wine just so I can use it.

20170219_200512Planner Stickers by Crafty Beautee-$1.85

How perfect for February are these stickers???  Once again them being out of time is due to my reviewing being behind, not due to shipping taking to long.  I have been using all the one I previously received in my planner and since it has a nice little pocket it can hold onto these for me.

20170219_200416Planner Clip by Heart Of Joy Creations-$3.01

This is lovely and I will use it as a bookmark more than a planner clip.  I have a few of them now so I trade them out every once in a while and they make it sooo much easier to find the correct date page.

Bath Truffle by Camilla Rose Soap Shop-$?

This little guy smells great!  It is Love’s Spell Ice Cream scent and it looks like a little scoop of ice cream.  There are no instructions on it but I’m thinking just a toss into the tub and away we go!

20170219_200428Earrings by The White Purl-$?

These earrings are so tiny!  I can barely crochet at all and this person has made a pair of earrings.  The teal colour is great and they are so light.  The Etsy shop is empty right now so I don’t know what else they make but these are a find.

20170219_200502Planner Pack by Little.Tainted.Cactus-$?

This little pack is cute.  There are the planner stickers you can see on top, a second sheet of stickers, and a Valentine’s Day image.  They are great and fun and cute and when I went to the shop……it’s on a break right now.  So sad!

20170219_200259Mini Wooden Sign by The Honest Asparagus-$9.64

This little sign is great.  It is a little reminder of what is important in life and I’m going to stick it up on a shelf here at home.  It has a weathered appearance and gives off a rustic vibe.

20170219_200537Koozie by Busy Bees Gifts-$6.88

I am getting a bit of a collection of these from boxes.  Summer is coming and there will be a need for them soon. Hopefully.  That is not a given where I live.

This month was great.  There were nine items this month and the glass was the big item.  It all fits into the theme really well and I like all the planner items. Since I couldn’t get values on everything I don’t have a total value this month. I enjoy these mixed boxes a lot and I think will keep this one around for a while.

The Crafty Mail Winter Wonderland January 2017

This month is Winter Wonderland.

The box had a pretty paper on the top and something wrapped up in bubble wrap inside.  It blocked most of the view so things are still a surprise.

20170203_193231There is a sheet of paper with the theme and item suppliers on it.  On the bottom this month was a note that the box was smaller than normal so they were adding on next months box at no charge.  I was happy to hear that as this should have been my last box and I enjoy it.

20170203_193310Winter Wonderland Herbal Tea by Kiper’s Lil Tea Shop-$2.08

This months tea blend is a mix of green and vanilla rooibos, cinnamon, and cacao nibs.  I do not really like rooibos tea very much but maybe this will be the mix that changes my mind.  They do have good tea at this shop and I will probably drink this in the next few nights.

20170203_193415Coffee Mug by The Crafty Mail-$14.27

This is a great mug!  I love the snowflake accents, it just adds to the whole thing.  This is the type of thing that the site you get this whole box from sells and I have liked most of them that I’ve received.

20170203_193323Hair Clip by Crochet Cadeaux-$?

This little barrette is not on the website so I can’t get a price.  It has a sparkly flower glued on it and the girls will more than likely fight over who get to wear it.

20170203_193341Planner Stickers by Crafty Beautee-$1.85

These planner stickers are my second favourite part of the box.  I use them in my planner and they give it just a little bit more zhuzh and keep me consistent in using it.

This month was back to being great.  There were only four items this month and so it makes sense that they would offer the extra one.  It all fits into the theme really well and I like all the planner items.  The products had a value of $18.20, using the prices from the Etsy shop. I enjoy these mixed boxes a lot and am looking forward to one more.

The Crafty Mail Mittens & Mistletoe Handmade Subscription Box December 2016

The box was very festive upon opening.  I could see under the paper that there was some carefully wrapped items inside.

Mittens & Mistletoe and Fireside Cider Herbal Tea by Kiper’s Lil Tea Shop-$2.08 x 2

These tea bags came in this festive envelope.  The Fireside Cider tea is a blend of lapsang souchong, ceylon tea, vanilla rooibos, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, and ginger.  The Mittens & Mistletoe is made from red rooibos, peppermint, spearmint, and hibiscus.  I think I’ll prefer the second one as I’ve had no luck enjoying lapsang souchong the other times of tried it.

20161221_174850Stemless Wine Glass by The Crafty Mail-$15?

This is the item made by the shop that sends out the box.  This so so so makes up for the pumpkin spice mug from last month I didn’t care for.  I love this glass.  I was using it all through the Christmas season.  It didn’t matter what I was drinking, I put it in this glass. Grinch for the win!

20161221_174703Planner Clip by Heart Of Joy Creations-$2.04

Every time I get one of these it becomes my new planner marker.  This month is reindeer and that’ll get me into January no problem.

20161221_174805Ceramic Mitten Ornament by JSB Arts-$13.79

This tree ornament is very cute and fun.  I’ve tossed it on the tree and it fits right in with the wide and crazy assortment of things on there already.

20161221_174654Bath Bomb by L’Aura Botanicals-$1.44

This bath bomb is in the Holiday scent.  It’s a mix of pine, juniper berry, and vanilla.  It has some delightful glitter sprinkled over the top and after running around after the kids all day while we’re on holidays, I need all the bath time I can get.

20161221_174753Planner Stickers by CraftyBeautee-$1.85

These make me more than happy.  I love getting these pages each month and I use them in my planner.

This month was back to being great.  There were seven items this month and the glass was the big item.  It all fits into the theme really well and I like all the planner items.  The products had a value of $38.28, using the prices from the Etsy shop. I enjoy these mixed boxes a lot and I think will keep this one around for a while.

This box came well padded.  The tissue is fun and sparkly and under that was bubble wrap, top and bottom.

20161123_181850

They have a nice cheat sheet that tells you what you received and the Etsy shop it comes from.

Pumpkin Pom-Pom by Crochet Cadeaux

Who doesn’t need more pom-poms in their life?  This is cute, useless, and I could make them but it’s still fun.

20161123_181926

Pumpkin Spice Delight Tea by Kiper’s Little Tea Shop-$2.08

This is a blend of black tea, ginger root, cinnamon, allspice, clove, and ground nutmeg.  I’m not a huge fan of pumpkin spice anything but it’s only one tea bag so I’ll give it a try one night.

20161123_182022

Coffee Mug by The Crafty Mail-$14.27

I think this is a great mug but the sentiment doesn’t apply to me.  I’ll still use it but it’ll live at home not out in the world just in case someone thinks I do like them and buys me one…..bleck.

20161123_181934

Planner Clip by Heart Of Joy Creations-$2.04

These are so simple but they make my planner look nice and keep it simple to find the right date with no trying.

20161123_181955

Planner Stickers by CraftyBeautee-$1.85

I have become a huge fan of these things.  I had never used them before getting some in my first box from these guys.  These ones are Thanksgiving themed due to being American but I’ll still use them.

20161123_181944

Cake Topper by The.Party.Fox-$13.64

This will have to be saved until next year but it is a nice cutout.  I’m trying to think if I’ve ever made a cake for Thanksgiving but now I have a reason to.

20161123_181918

Autumn Night Candle Melt by Sweet Candle Melts & Bath Treats-$3.41

I love getting these!  My hubby is probably tired of coming home to a random scent of something new but we have two kids and two dogs so we need something that smells lovely.

20161123_182005

Ceramic Leaf Pin by JSB Arts-$11.59

I know they sent this just as a fall leaf but it is a perfect red maple leaf.  I am not sure why this is such a pricey little pin but I guess you pay for handcrafting.

This month was a slight let down for me.  There were eight items this month and the mug was the big item.  It all fits into the theme really well and I like all the planner items.  The products had a value of $48.88, using the prices from the Etsy shop. I enjoy these mixed boxes a lot and I think will keep this one around for a while.

20161024_172544 20161024_172551

This box has a mix of items and you never know.  They also send a sheet that tells you where the items came from so you can find more if you decide you can’t live without them.

20161024_172815

Coloring Sheet by Crochet Cadeaux-$2.08

This is a very detailed page.  I like the drinking glasses and the rest of the Halloween things hidden inside.

20161024_172715

Hallowen Tree Tea by Kiper’s Lil Tea Shop-$2.08

This tea is a mix of cinnamon, ginger, clove, allspice, pumpkin seeds, dandelion root, cacao shells and nibs, and chicory root.  It should be a tasty blend and feel warming as you drink it.

20161024_172625

Coffee Mug by The Crafty Mail-$19.36

This is a great Halloween mug.  I love the saying!  The lettering is not dishwasher safe but that’s okay, as long as I tell everyone in the house not to stick it in there.  It’s a bigger mug, which I love as well.  No one wants just 8 oz of a hot drink.

20161024_172738

Planner Clip by Heart Of Joy Creations-$2.08

This is an awesome planner clip.  I know it’s past the season right now but I will be trading out the one I have for this one.  I did get this box in plenty of time before Halloween, I’m just reviewing it late.

20161024_172750

Planner Stickers by CraftyBeautee-$1.85

I’m loving getting a page of these each month.  I have managed to use them each month and I like the way they make my planner just a touch more fun.

20161024_172649

Bath Bomb by Laura Botanicals-$1.39

This is a pumpkin shaped bath bomb.  It doesn’t say what scent it is but it seems floral and feminine to me.  I’m in a tub once a week as a relax away from the family so I’m happy to have anything to add to that experience.

20161024_172705

Gift Tags by The.Party.Fox-$5.55

I don’t think I’ve ever given a Halloween gift so I’m not sure when I would use these but I can add them to letters or use them to decorate something.

20161024_172724

Magnet by JSB Arts-$7.63

How cute is this little witch?  It is a ceramic disc and I think it’s a sticker laminated on top. On the fridge right now.

This box is so much fun for me.  There were eight items this month and that mug has just become my new daily drinker.  It all fits into the theme really well and I like all the planner items.  The products had a value of $42.02, using the prices from the Etsy shop. I enjoy these mixed boxes a lot and I think will keep this one around for a while.

The Crafty Mail It’s My Party Handmade Subscription Box September 2016

This month is It’s My Party.

20160922_170709 20160922_170720

What I like about these boxes it that you have absolutely no clue what might be in there.  With most boxes you know if they are makeup or stationery or clothes but these type could be any item under the sun.

20160922_170728

Included is a sheet that tells you what items are in the box and what Etsy shop they can be found in.  That’s a great way to make it easy to find more or similar items if you like them.

20160922_170816

Pom Pom Hair Ties by Crochet Cadeaux

These are not listed on the shop page so I don’t have a price for them.  I will probably let Bug wear this but it’s not out of the realm of possibility for it to be in my hair.  These would be so simple to make that I’m not sure why I haven’t made any myself.

20160922_170828

Evening Dinner Party Tea by Kiper’s Lil Tea Shop-$2.00

This tea bag is a blend of black tea, chamomile, lavender, peppermint, spearmint, and lemon peel.  I don’t drink a bunch of black tea but with all the additions in this one I think it’ll be okay.  I have a cup of tea every night before bed so this will be used up quickly.

20160922_170804

Skinny Tumbler by The Crafty Mail-$20.00

This is the item made by the shop that sends out this box.  They have a range of different things that they sell.  The bottle says “I like to party and by party I mean take naps”.  I don’t know that I’ve received a more appropriate item in a box ever.  I think this is great and I’m using it.

20160922_170839

Planner Clip by Heart Of Joy Creations-$2.00

This is a Happy Birthday ribbon clip.  I’ll have to save it for next month, which is my birthday.  I’m using the one I received last month and it makes things so easy.

20160922_170856

Planner Stickers by Crafty Beautee-$3.32

These are so cute!  I’ve been lucky that they fit in my planner since sometimes they are made for a specific brand.  How cute is the sleepover theme going on??  I love these.

20160922_170848

Planner Clip and Journal Card by Cre8tiv Juice

This clip is more universally useful.  It is bright and colourful and makes a statement.  The journal card says ” A party without cake is just a meeting”.  I’ve been in a lot of meetings lately and believe me, cake would have made them easier.

This box is so much fun for me.  There are a few less items this month than last but the tumbler is much larger than anything last time was.  It all fits into the theme really well and while it’s heavy on the planner items, that’s okay and I like those.  The products had a value of $27.32, plus the items I can’t value. I enjoy these mixed boxes a lot and I think will keep this one around for a while.

The Crafty Mail Back To School Handmade Subscription Box August 2016

This month is all about Back To School.

20160817_163816

There was no info card in this one but they do have a list of their sponsors, with the items that are from each shop so it’s kinda the same.  It also makes it really easy to find more of any item that catches your fancy.

20160817_163952

Apple Bookmark-$3.99

What a great way to start this box.  I always need more bookmarks and this one is super cute.  My own crochet skills are not anywhere near this level and so I’m happy to appreciate someone else’s work.

20160817_164017

Cinnamon Apple Green Tea-$2.00

I love tea and when I’m not camping (like I am now) I have a cup every night before bed.  Green tea is a nice change from the standard herbal tea that’s my go to.

20160817_163920

Planner Clips-$4.58 x 4 and Washi-$1.99

These are from the site that puts together these boxes and I love them.   My planner is sadly lacking much more beyond some stickers but all of these things will help remedy that.

20160817_163834

Truffula Tree Pencil

Who doesn’t want a pencil with a tulle flower on the top???  Seriously this is awesome.  Love it.  Nothing more to say.

20160817_164043

Reusable Snack Bag-$2.33

I honestly was just looking at online tutorials to make these things and I got one in a box!  Bug is starting Kindergarten in a few weeks and she’ll need lunch so anything that can make it fun and be useful is a win.

20160817_164100

Note Pad-$3.19

I love notepads and a checklist is probably the best notepad of all.  It makes my OCD so very happy!  This is right in there with the theme and just a great addition.  Also the pages are thick cardstock not regular paper.

20160817_164139

Planner Stickers-$3.32

Yay!!! More things to make my planner great!  I keep thinking about getting a planner sticker sub and can’t quite commit so this is a good way to see if I’ll actually use them or just have big hopes to use them.

20160817_163853

Harvest Apple Bath Melt-$1.33

Sadly this little guy did not travel well.  He was just in the organza bag and there are bits of bath bomb all over everything.  It’ll still work and is whole enough to fizz up so while I wish it was in better shape I’ll use it anyways.

I’m happy with my first month of this box.  It all fit into the Back To School theme really well and there was a good mix of items.  The products had a value of $36.47 which does cover the box price with shipping so that’s great.  I enjoy these mixed boxes a lot and I think will keep this one around for a while.
