Terra Bella Box October 2017

Terra Bella Box is a monthly subscription that sends out 3 to 4 natural beauty products.  They also offer a Makeup version that has 3 items in it.  You can get a monthly plan or 3 and 6 month plans in either version.  Boxes start at $32.95 a month and there is a shipping fee to Canada.  That is way, way more than I want to pay for a box and so I had refrained from getting this one until I found it on 50% off for Mother’s Day.  I went with the standard box and they always ship out the Welcome Box as your first one so you get an idea of what you can expect from them and you can get your first one quickly.

This must be the new box for them as this makes the second month that it’s looked like this.  Once I opened it up I could see nothing past the tissue paper that was carefully wrapped.  Getting under that, I still had no clues!

They have an info card that has a fall design on the front and the back has the list of items that you will find under all the crinkles, who made them, where you can get them, and the value of them.

20171103_204346

Mystical Mojo Mystical Zombie Dust-$6.00

This is so fun!!! It is a deconstructed bath bomb that is scented with orange and frankincense.  It is supposed to remind you of a Fall afternoon and make sure that after a hard day facing off against zombies you can relax in the tub and soak it all away.

20171103_204358

Soul + Stone Apothecary Pumpkin Spice Body Lotion-$14.95

This lotion is an all-natural blend that smells okay.  I am not a huge fan of anything pumpkin spice but this is not the overpowering nutmeg and cinnamon that is normal in this scent.  This has the most bizarre texture for a lotion.  It is like marshmallow fluff.  It is so light though and it absorbed really fast leaving me soft and not greasy at all.

Soul + Stone Apothecary Goblin Blotch Serum-$9.95

This one was an added surprise with it being hidden in a bag.  This is used to help reduce dark spots on your skin.  You apply a few drops after cleansing and toning and rub it in.  It is infused with crystal energy and they sent a crystal along as well.  This smells really nice but even two drops covered the back of my hand and took a long time to rub in so I’ll have to use this very sparingly.

20171103_204336

Project Detox Beauty Detox Botanical Facial Steam-$16.95

You add two tablespoons of this blend to a bowl of boiling water.  You let it steep for five minutes and then drape a towel over your head and steam yourself over the bowl.  You stay like that for five to ten minutes.  This should open up your pores and clean out the yucky things.

I had always thought the items I’d seen others getting were good and now that I’ve tried it I can be certain.  I love that they did all the items with a Halloween theme.  The value of this months box is $47.85, which is a little lower then it has been but is still good and is great with the deal I used.  I don’t normally purposefully seek out natural products but they do work great and it can’t be bad for me to use them.  This month was so good!  I’m very excited to use all of these things.

Terra Bella Box September 2017

The Terra Bella box was not it’s usual self this month.  It was a plain white box with a leaf stamp on it instead.  Once I opened the lid it was business as usual.

There are two cards in there.  One is the info card, which details all the items included, where you can get them, and a retail price for them.  The second is a little thought about the season that could easily be frameable.

20171002_180040

French Green Clay Mask by Satellite Soap Company-$15.00

This jar is filled with only dried french green clay.  You mix one tablespoon of it with water and apply.  You rinse off after about fifteen minutes. This clay is good for healing and detoxing.  I make a mess while mixing these type of masks but I do like a clay mask.  My skin always feels so fresh and taut after using one.

20171002_180144

Hair Perfume in Rio de Janeiro by Stonework Studio-$19.95

This is an alcohol-free spray that allows you to add scent to yourself in a new way.  The scents in the spray are pineapple, passion fruit, mango, lime, patchouli, and grapefruit.  I can’t decide if I like the smell or not.  I like the idea and do already add a spritz of my perfume to my hair but to have one that is dedicated to that is new to me.  I think this is more of a summer scent so maybe that is why I’m not feeling it.

20171002_180110

Lavender Essential Oil Roller by Ad Astra Apothecary-$15.00

This is a lovely roller!  I will be putting this one on my nightstand to use right before bed.  There is an actual sprig of lavender in the bottle.  It is very strong and I think it will be super effective in relaxing me and helping me sleep.

20171002_175948

Bath Soak by Ocean Elemental-$8.95

This bath soak is a blend of salts, flowers, oils, and leaves.  You can use it straight from the bag or you can pop it into a cloth tea bag so there are no floaties in the tub.  I don’t want to open the bag yet so I don’t know what it smells like but I’m sure it’s lovely.

20171002_175934

Exfoliating Bath Glove bu Ocean Elemental-$3.95

This glove is gently scrubby so that while you are soaking in the tub or hiding from your children in the shower, (is that just me?), you can give your body a once over and remove any dead skin.  It should help you to become soft and smooth.

I had always thought the items I’d seen others getting were good and now that I’ve tried it I can be certain.  The value of this months box is $62.85, which would be good if I’d paid full price and is great with the deal I used.  I don’t normally purposefully seek out natural products but they do work great and it can’t be bad for me to use them.  This month was gso good!  I’m very excited to use all of these things.

Terra Bella Box August 2017

The box had Customs fees added this time so I had to go to the post office to pick it up as I wasn’t home when they tried to deliver it.  It also appears that the jar in the top corner might have leaked a little.  Things are crunchy and stuck together so we’ll see what we find.

They have an info card that tells you what items are in the box, what their value is and a bit about them.  On the back is a notice that they are having a grab box sale.  There was also a card with the #terrabellabox and that’s all.

Your Tea Tea Face-$25.00

This is the item that leaked.  It is an exfoliator and cleanser that will give you a glowing complexion.  It seems to be made from actual tea leaves and looks like chewing tobacco, which is unpleasant.  It doesn’t smell that great either but I will begrudgingly give it a try.

The Bomb Gals Vegan Vanilla Lip Balm-$4.00

This is a nice feeling lip balm.  It has a soft vanilla scent that isn’t like melted ice cream.  I have way, way, way too many lip balms but I like getting more so this is okay.  I think this one will get used up sooner than some others as I really like it.

Maguey Weaves Natural Rose Pumice Stone-$4.00

My feet are going to love this!  The closer we get to Winter the more often I have to wear shoes and so my heels and the balls of my feet end up in bad shape.  Somehow I have yet to own one of these so I can see a foot bath with a scrub and soak and then rub this thing all over them.

Herbal Transdermal Papaya Enzyme Soft & Silky Mud Mask-$15.00

This surprised me as I rarely expect a mud mask to have texture.  I think this is because of the volcanic mud that they use in it, it feels like an exfoliator.  This mask is supposed to absorb impurities and slow skin aging.

Bambu Charcoal Bar Soap in Balance-$4.00

Charcoal soaps are made to draw out the bad stuff on your skin and leave you clean and soft.  This one is a handmade soap and uses organic bamboo.  I can’t wait to try it.

I had always thought the items I’d seen others getting were good and now that I’ve tried it I can be certain.  The value of this months box is $52.00, which would be good if I’d paid full price and is great with the deal I used.  I don’t normally purposefully seek out natural products but they do work great and it can’t be bad for me to use them.  This month was good for me, though I’m sad the big value item I may not use too much.

Terra Bella Box July 2017

This box is easy to identify with the leaves on it.  Inside is some tissue paper to keep things pretty and then under that are squiggles to keep everything safe.

They do have an info card in the box that details the items you will find, a little bit about each of them, the value of them, and a website to buy more.

Sarah’s Sweet Scrubs Room & Body Spray-$15.00

This spray is supposed to give you the smells of Hawaii at any time.  It has a very powerful scent of flowers and then a hint of pineapple hits you.  This spray can be used as a body spray, a perfume, or a room, linen, and car spray.  It is something I would use for the latter options as I find it a bit cloying as a scent and wouldn’t want it on me for a long period.

20170729_145034

Bonjour Jolie Beach Waves Salt Spray-$12.00

Bonjour Jolie is another subscription company and while I have had mixed results with using them, their products do tend to be good.  This is a hair spray that adds texture and wave to your hair.  These actually work really well on my hair as it is naturally wavy if I leave it alone so I like salt sprays.  This one is alcohol-free so there is no crunchy or sticky feeling once you use it.

20170729_144910

Babo Botanicals Clear Zinc Sport Stick Sunscreen-$12.95

This smells horrible! Considering it says it is fragrance-free, I find that very odd.  It is an SPF30 and it really does go on clear so that is nice in a zinc stick.  I think this will be an easy way to get sunscreen on the tops of ears and nose of myself and the girls.

20170729_145054

Scrub Me The Right Way Rasberry Sorbet Lip Scrub-$9.99

This little tub did leak a bit but not enough for me to bother contacting them about it.  Nothing is damaged besides the box and I’m confident this is still usable as it is.  I don’t use lip scrubs very often because I don’t like the way they feel on me as I try to not ingest them.  This is a huge tub for this and I’ll give it a go but it’s not my favourite item in the box.

I had always thought the items I’d seen others getting were good and now that I’ve tried it I can be certain.  The value of this months box is $49.94, which would be good if I’d paid full price and is great with the deal I used.  I don’t normally purposefully seek out natural products but they do work great and it can’t be bad for me to use them.  This month was good for me and besides the lip scrub I will use everything.

Terra Bella Box June 2017

This month my box showed up in one of those bags that Canada Post provides because your package is damaged.  In my case, the damage was a very soft box and a strong smell coming from it.  Once I got it open I could see that something had leaked.

They have an info card that tells you the company and name of the items you’re receiving, a little about them, and the value of the item.

20170620_175107

The Preserve Company Hand & Body Scrub in Georgia-Florida State Line-$20.00

This scrub smells good and odd at the same time.  You get the citrus part but the peach seems very fake and artificial.  The scrub is a little dry but that won’t affect the usage of this one.  It is a good size tub and I will get a few whole body rubs out of it for sure.

20170620_175128

Sugar Shak Banana Cream Bath Bomb-$4.29

I am running low on bath bombs so this one comes at the right time.  This might be the least exciting scent for me as I hate banana smells.  This bomb is made with vitamin E, aloe vera, coconut oil, sweet almond oil, and shea and cocoa butter.

20170620_175211

Indigo Wild Zum Wash in Sea Salt-$13.50

This is the item that leaked.  The lid came loose and that caused the problems.  I reached out to Terra Bella box and they said that while they were sold out of this box they would gladly send me one of four choices of a replacement item.  Considering that nothing else was damaged, I am very happy with that.  This soap is very smelly and I can still use what’s left in the bottle.

20170620_175144

Modish Polish Nail Polish in Control Freak-$12.00

Wow is this ever a red colour!  Modish polishes are 5-free and cruelty-free as well.  They are made to be fast-drying and chip resistant.  I’ve put it on my toes and it is so red and dark.  I’m not sure that this will ever make it to my fingers but it is a great polish.

I had always thought the items I’d seen others getting were good and now that I’ve tried it I can be certain.  The value of this months box is $49.79, which would be good if I’d paid full price and is great with the deal I used.  I don’t normally purposefully seek out natural products but they do work great and it can’t be bad for me to use them.

Terra Bella Box May 2017

The little changes that happen as I get into the layers until I find the items.  Everything was well packed and arrived safely intact.

20170601_174310

There is an info card in the box.  It tells you about the items that you will find inside, where you can get more, the value of the item, and a little bit about each one.  Something must have changed at some point since the bottom two items have been covered with a sticker with different ones.

20170601_174439

Lizush Natural Grapefruit Soap Bar-$8.50

This soap smells great!  It is a cleansing and moisturizing and good for all skin types. It is vegan, non-GMO, and free of synthetic chemicals, parabens, alcohol, and sulfates.  I can read and know what every ingredient in this soap is.  I think the little bag packaging is a great touch as well.

20170601_174415

Clean Living Collection Flowers and Mud Mask-$18.00

This little jar has enough powder in it to do ten masks.  It has a blend of two separate clays and three flowers to sooth skin and fight acne and aging.  It is certified organic.

20170601_174336

Cultivar Organic Deeply Nourishing Daily Moistuizer-$48.00

This is an oil based moisturizer. Even though I know oils are good for my skin I still get a little freaked out to put something on my skin that I’ve spent years trying to not have.  It does smell strongly of the lavender that’s in it but it doesn’t feel greasy once it’s absorbed.  Not only is this organic and vegan but they use wind power for all of their electricity needs.

20170601_174358

Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques Organic Intensive Skin Therapie-$11.50

This is a very thick cream that can be used to soothe and heal dry cracked skin.  It comes out of a pump and then can be spread around and rubbed in.  It is 99% organic.

For my very first box from them, I am very happy.  I had always thought the items I’d seen others getting were good and now that I’ve tried it I can be certain.  The value of this months box is $86.00, which would be good if I’d paid full price and is great with the deal I used.  I don’t normally purposefully seek out natural products but they do work great and it can’t be bad for me to use them.
