Super Geek Box December 2016

Super Geek Box is a monthly subscription that sends out Geek and Gamer gear.  You always get a shirt but everything else is up in the air.  You could get Funkos or Dorbz, keychains, posters, or stickers.  Every month has a theme that the items are based on so it changes up all the time.  Boxes start at $13.92 plus $13.00 shipping a month but go down with longer plans.  All plans automatically renew so you do need to be careful if you want to cancel.  I’ve resisted getting too deep into the geek boxes just because there are so many and trying to pick is pretty difficult.  All of them are really varied and from looking at past boxes I decided to give Super Geek Box a try.  This month’s theme is Rogue.

So I don’t know where this box has been but the ship date on it is December 13th.  I received it on March 20th.  I just thought I had my count wrong and didn’t realize I was missing one.  The box wasn’t too beat up for living in limbo for so long and things inside seemed interesting.

20170314_195634

They have an info card that lists all the items in the box as well as any variations that might have been shipped.

Star Wars Collectable Hangers Blind Bag

As you can see from the back of the package, there are twelve possible figures to find inside.  After ripping it open I found that I had Darth Vader.  He is so cute!!!!!! I normally don’t care for anything Star Wars but this one is okay.

20170314_195536

Nerdcr8 SGB Exclusive The Alliance Half Necklace

And we’re back to not caring about the Star Wars.  This necklace will go straight to the charity shop.  Even if it was the whole thing I still wouldn’t care.  It’s not that attractive and I’m not that into it.

20170314_195603

Nerdcr8 SGB Exclusive Rebel Mission Heat Transfer Badge

I guess the whole box is Star Wars.  This patch is fun and I can use it to patch Hubby’s pants.  He loves the whole Star Wars thing.

20170314_195455

Titanfits SGB Exclusive Fuzzy Bacca Socks

Now, these are awesome!  I love fun socks and fuzzy socks and these fit both of those needs.  They are super fuzzy and have the belt embroidered on the top.

20170314_195704

Super Geek Box Exclusive The Rebels Galactic Shirt

As soon as this came out of the box, Hubs took it.  He loves it and I’m glad someone will get some use out of it since I would make it a shirt that was worn for dirty things since I wouldn’t care about it.

This was a bonus box for me and I am glad that my husband likes this theme.  I would have been sadly disappointed if he wasn’t around.

Super Geek Box November 2016

This month’s theme is Immortal.

The box is stuffed full again this month.  They manage to fold the shirt so you have no idea what goodness awaits you.

The info card used to be folded in three but now it’s just in half.  On the back are images of people wearing last months shirt.  The other side has the items you will be receiving in this months box.  If there are options, they will all be listed for you.

20161214_191659

They always send a button each month as well that symbolises the theme.

Marvel Deadpool Domez Collectible Series #2

I received Deadpool 1.  He’s cute and would be one of the 9 I’d hope for.  He might join me at work or if I ever get my craft room organized, he could hang out there too.

20161214_191616

Harcos Lab Health Potion Energy Drink

This is an actual energy drink.  Complete with the warnings that it’s not for those under 12.  It doesn’t have a flavour on it that I could find but most of these things taste the same anyways.  I rarely drink them due to reacting quite dramatically on them and becoming hyper-focused on whatever the task at hand is.  Which I guess is the point but it freaks me out.  This will be saved for an emergency situation.

20161214_191625

Titanfits SGB Exclusive Divine Force Bracelet

This is one of those things that I would never wear but the girls are always happy to get more “jewelry”. As you can see from the picture there are gold triangles on the blocks.

20161214_191640

Nerdcred SGB Exclusive Invincibility Keychain

Now this one I like.  I’m all for anything that reminds me of SMB and this is great.  I’ve removed a few of my keychains lately so I have room to add this one to my collection.

20161214_191711_001

SGB Exclusive Iron On Pocket

I cannot get this to rotate the right way, so sorry for the image.  I haven’t used any of the transfers they’ve sent yet but they can hang out in my sewing room and if I need to spice up something I’ll have them handy.

20161214_191649

SGB Exclusive You B*st*rds! Decal

I don’t know when the last time I watched South Park but this is one of the best parts of it.  This brings back memories and that’s a good thing to have an item do.  I think this will grace a notebook.

20161214_191800

SGB Exclusive Humble Roots T-Shirt

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy!!!!! This is one of the greatest shirts they have ever sent me.  I love Groot and how freaking cute is the baby Groot!!!!!! So, so, so, so happy to get this.

This month was pretty good overall.  There were lots of items from things I like and nothing that I’m really sad about. The big gamble with the geek boxes is if you get a theme for something you are not a fan of, the whole box can be a letdown.  Next month’s theme is Valor, and they are promising lots of goodies. I’m not sure if I’m getting it or not because my subscription is up with either this box or the next one. I guess we’ll see.

Super Geek Box October 2016

This month’s theme is Darkness.

20161025_192740 20161025_192754

This box is stuffed full.  They pack it with as much stuff as they can  and you feel like they took the time to search out things that go with the theme.

20161025_193104 20161025_193112 20161025_192817

They have an info card that tells you what you will find in the box and it will also show you any items that have options.  They send out a button with the theme on it each month.  I don’t use them and couldn’t care less if they disappeared.

20161025_192916

Titanfits SGB Exclusive Retro Ghost Knit Beanie

I love this and while I’m sure I look ridiculous I don’t care.  You could have received one of four colours and I’m happy with the pale blue. Bug wants to steal it and she might get to wear it occasionally.

20161025_192942 20161025_193024

DC Comics DC Villains Buildable Figurine

There are 9 possible options of villains to get and I got The Ridler.  Out of the choices this one is, I think, one of the better ones.  He shall join my other figures at the top of my desk cupboard.

20161025_193039

SGB Exclusive Boo Busters Heat Transfer Patch

I’m not sure where I’ll put this but I like it and it can go into my sewing room until I need a patch for something.

20161025_192931

Titanfits SGB Exclusive Zombie Decay Socks

I did get this box before Halloween so I could have used these then.  These are very cool and fun and I’ll be putting these into regular rotation, not just Halloween.

20161025_193050

Titanfits SGB Exclusive Skelli-Moticons Decals

So these are awesome!  They are your basic emoticons but done in a Nightmare Before Christmas theme.

20161025_192837

SGB Exclusive Skelli-Moticons T-Shirt

This shirt is so much fun!  Obviously just a larger selection than the stickers but as awesome.  The shirts in this box are unfailingly great and this one continues that trend.

This month was pretty good overall.  There were lots of items from things I like and nothing that I’m really sad about. The big gamble with the geek boxes is if you get a theme for something you are not a fan of, the whole box can be a letdown.  Next month’s theme is Immortal, and they are promising lots of goodies.

Super Geek Box September 2016

This month’s theme is Rumble.

20160927_151517 20160927_151526

The box is very noticable when it’s sitting on my stoop. Opening it up I can see Luigi!

20160927_151631 20160927_151644

They have a tri-fold info sheet that lets you know what you received and what the options were for any items that could be different.

20160927_151536

Nintendo Luigi Plush

This is one where you could have received either Mario or Luigi.  I’m okay with Luigi, you know the second brother is always best!  He’s cute and more that likely will go to the girls but he also might look good next to Donkey Kong.

20160927_151558

Nerdcre8 SGB Exclusive Star Rod Ribbon Necklace

This lanyard is awesome!  I’ve been using the lightsabre one from a few boxes ago but this is more my style.

20160927_151547

Titanfits SGB Exclusive Combo Breaker Bracelet

There was a blue and a red option and they have the direction symbols on them that would give you the power move in a game.

20160927_151607

SGB Exclusive Digital Classic Laser Cut Vinyl

This guy is cute.  I’m not too sure where I will stick him but he may just go into a letter to a penpal.  He’s just the black part the rest is protective paper.

20160927_151617

SGB Exclusive Like A Bowse Magnet

This is freakin’ awesome!  I love this magnet and it may come to work with me to adorn my cubical.  Mario is one of my favourite things so anything relating to it makes me happy.

20160927_151714

SGB Exclusive Rest In Peace T-Shirt

It’s cute and I like it.  Nothing is going to beat last months I don’t think but this one is still fun.  The shirts are good quality and I’ve found most of them to be witty and wonderful.

This month was pretty good overall.  There were lots of items from things I like and it’s only the bracelet that is not for me.  The big gamble with the geek boxes is if you get a theme for something you are not a fan of, the whole box can be a letdown.  Next month’s theme is Darkness, and they are promising a Halloween theme and some wearables beyond the shirt.

Super Geek Box August 2016

This month’s theme is Colossal.

20160908_192058 20160908_192122

I don’t think they could have stuffed anything else in this box.  It is right full, front to back, and top to bottom.

20160908_192243 20160908_192254

They have a good info sheet that tells you everything you want to know about what’s inside.

20160908_192136

Nintendo Donkey Kong Plush

Who doesn’t love DK?  I have so many memories of playing this on many versions of Nintendo.  This guy will more than likely end up going to the girls but he is great and I love him.

20160908_192234

Nerdcre8 SGB Exclusive Mega Hero Sleep Mask

Big Hero 6 was a favourite in this house for a while so I know who this one is.  I have about four sleep masks so I don’t need another one but that’s never stopped me from buying things before.

20160908_192217

Titanfits SGB Exclusive Gamma Rage Socks

Now these are the kinda socks I want to get!  I thought they were Hulk but I guess not.  Either way they make me happy and they are going on my feet.

20160908_192155

SGB Exclusive Megamorph Mighty Pin

The info sheet tells me this is better then a life restoring mushroom, it grants colossal strength.  I don’t care for buttons or pins so this is not for me.

20160908_192322

SGB Exclusive Saving Mushroom Kingdom Poster

Koopa king versus Godzilla?  I’m all for the Koopa winning this one.  Though I have some hard feelings for that floating monster throwing turtles at me.  I lost so many times…..

20160908_192414

SGB Exclusive Just Do It Later T-Shirt

I absolutely love this shirt!!!!  It expresses everything I feel about working out.  They shipped it out in two different shades of blue and I’m not certain which one I got but I’m happy with it and think it’ll go perfectly with my socks from above.

While this month isn’t quite as good as last month, it’s still really good. The only thing I dislike is the pin and I have no real use for the poster but at least they are from things I like.  The shirt rules!!  That’s the big gamble with the geek boxes, if you get a theme for something you are not a fan of, the whole box can be a letdown.  Next month’s theme is Rumble, and they are promising Nintendo items and a Smashing t-shirt.

Super Geek Box July 2016

This month’s theme is Sidekick.

20160720_175353 20160720_175414

So I opened this box and actually squealed.  My husband thought something was wrong with me but in fact I couldn’t have been happier with what I saw!

20160720_175645 20160720_175657

They have a nice info card that tells you about the items this month.  They also show the different options if there was any that month.

20160720_175443

Funko POP Vinyl Marvel Dancing Groot

This was the item that has me all excited.  I freaking love Groot and to get the baby Groot from the end of the movie, who is soooooo cute and fun and just everything perfect.  This has made up for any box that was ever not great across any subscription I have. So HAPPY!

20160720_175502

SGB Beer-Mo Can Cooler

This koozie is an Adventure Time reference.  I don’t watch that one but have a basic reference of the characters.  I honestly don’t think we own a koozie so this is a good thing I guess.

20160720_175536

SGB Loyal Buddies Dual Tag Necklace

Well they sure got the timing right with this one.  Original Pokemon characters are on the dog tags.  This isn’t really my thing but I know the girls always enjoy another necklace to add to their jewel treasures.

20160720_175615

SGB 16 Bit Gaming Pop-Art Decal

Who doesn’t love Yoshi?  This sticker has him in all his glorious colour options.  I’m not sure where I need to put this but I know I’ll think of something.  Yoshi rocks!

20160720_175604

SGB PocketPal T-Shirt Modifier

This is an iron on transfer to make it look like you have Adventure Time in your pocket.  I think I might now someone who would like this because I won’t use it.  It’s neat though and something new that I’ve never seen in a box before.

20160720_175732

SGB Exclusive R8-D8 Droid Fusion T-Shirt

This month’s shirt is a mash up of the old droid and the new droid from Star Wars.  I’m sure to a die hard fan this is some type of sacrilege but since I don’t qualify as one, I think it’s okay.  Not my favourite shirt from them but since Groot makes up for everything, it’s good.

If you haven’t guessed, I love this months box.  Groot is fantastic and Yoshi is good to.  The rest of the stuff is fine though not really my fandoms. The shirt is just okay, since they are usually so awesome.  That’s the big gamble with the geek boxes, if you get a theme for something you are not a fan of, the whole box can be a letdown.  Next month’s theme is Colossal, and they are promising a gaming gear and their best shirt yet  in it.

Super Geek Box June 2016

This month’s theme is Villain.

20160624_190441

This box is easy to spot when it arrives.  The bright blue and the branding let you know exactly  what is sitting in your mailbox.

20160624_190502

As usual the box is packed right to the top and stuffed as full as it can get.

20160624_190753 20160624_190805

The trifold info card give you a quick little overview of what you might get if there were options and concrete information on the items that are the same for everyone.

20160624_190536

Funko Mopees Yellow Deadpool

I still haven’t seen the Deadpool movie so I’m not sure why there are colour variations.  However this guy is super cute and I will happily give him a home if the girls don’t steal hm on me first.

20160624_190703 20160624_190708

SGB Exclusive Money Meowth Pay-Day Wallet

This is such a weird thing.  It is a basic wallet that you would fold in half and only hold cash.  I’ll probably just give this to the girls to play with since they are big into purses right now.

20160624_190721

There was this wonderful surprise inside the wallet…..$1,000,000 dollars.

20160624_190627

SGB Chomp Chomp Keychain

They have the very best keychains in this box.  Mario is my favourite ever and they keep adding that little thing to make me happy.  Love this!

20160624_190520

SGB TR8R Drawstring Bag

This appear to be a mashup between a Super Mario Turtle and a Stormtrooper.  This is another one for the girls as I won’t carry this around in public.  Which might surprise those who know me and have to appear in public with me on any holiday.

20160624_190741

SG Harley Quinn Decal

I wouldn’t call this a decal……it’s a sticker plain and simple.  It’s fun though and I will probably throw it in one of my letters to a penpal.

20160624_190639

For bonus this month they included a Team Rocket pin and the normal theme pin.  I’m totally team Rocket so yay!

20160624_190601

SGB Exclusive The Dark Side T-Shirt

I know I’ve said it before but I just don’t have any care about Star Wars.  That makes this shirt almost blah to me.  I know it’s got Link on it to redeem it but it’s mostly Star Wars.  Maybe the Hubs will want it or I can use it for just around the house.

This month was just okay for me.  None of the fandoms are my big favourites, but the items made me  happy and smiley. The shirt is quite a let down, since they are usually so awesome.  That’s the big gamble with the geek boxes, if you get a theme for something you are not a fan of, the whole box can be a letdown.  Next month’s theme is Sidekick, and they are promising a Funko Pop in it.

Super Geek Box May 2016

This month’s theme is Hero.

20160524_165223 20160524_165249

They ship in a bright blue box with their name plastered all over it.  Opening it up showed me a part of a shirt and not a damn thing more.

20160524_165308 20160524_165319

They include a folded info card.  It shows you all the variations of items you could have received and let’s you know to take pics of yourself in the tee and hashtag them, so you can be entered into the sweepstakes.

20160524_165457

Funko Pop Plushies Captain America

I love this so much and there is no way this will stay in my possession.  Bug already spotted it and was wondering who it was for.  I said me but I don’t think she’s buying that.  It’s so freaking cute and I just want to keep it with me everywhere!  Best item ever.  You could have also received Rocket Racoon, but I’m stoked with this one. So CUTE!!!

20160524_165425

Super Geek Box Legend of 404 Mousepad

This makes me smile.  So far this box is turning out to be great!  Link was a part of my youth and the humour in this tickles my funny bone.  This is going to work with me I think since I don’t use a mouse pad at home anymore.

20160524_165406

Super Geek Box Super Friends Dynamic Duo AIr Freshener

So the awesomeness of this box just keeps going.  Superman air freshener.  Yay!  The other option was Wonder Woman, which I would have been okay with too.  I can’t smell it through the package so I don’t know if it smells like sweaty tights or pine trees but it looks cool and my car needs a new one.

20160524_165357

Super Geek Box Gamer Life Wristband

Okay now this is my favourite item (for now).  I have no idea when I would ever wear a wristband but if I did this one is perfect.  YOLO….unless you get that green mushroom baby!

20160524_165331

SGB The Swiftpoke Mini Poster

I get that this is a play on the Flash but I don’t know the character they are bringing in so I don’t really get this.  The info card says “Ever wonder what happens when you evolve with a thunderstone?”  Anyone help me out here?

20160524_165602

SGB The Legend Of Bubblegum T-Shirt

Now we have a mashup of Legend of Zelda and Adventure Time.  I know very little about Adventure Time but if my friends are to be believed I’m missing out.  The shirt is great though and gladly joins my growing collection.

20160524_165530

As always there is a pin with the theme on it.  I don’t have much use for them but since this one has Superman and Wonder Woman on it I know Bug will be happy to get it.

This month was truly epic!!!  I loved it all, minus the poster but that to me is just filler anyways.   While none of the fandoms are my big favourites, the items made me so happy and smiley that I don’t care.  That’s the big gamble with the geek boxes, if you get a theme for something you are not a fan of, the whole box can be a letdown.  Next month’s theme is Villain, and they are promising an “epic exclusive t-shirt” in it.

Super Geek Box April 2016

This month’s theme is Destiny.

20160427_183524 20160427_183536

The box is easily identifiable.  Opening it up I could see a hat and not much more.

20160427_183752 20160427_183759

The info card opens up to show you all the fun things that are inside.

20160427_183549

Marvel Mystery 8-Bit Avengers Mini Bobblehead Blind Bag

There are 9 possible Avengers that can be found in the bag.  I’m opening it right now……..and I got Vision.  I have no clue who that is.  Of all the ones I could have  received I get the one I don’t know.  That’s par for the course I guess.

20160427_183646

SGB Ninja Squirtle Keychain

There were four possible options, giving you all of the Ninja Turtles, I got the orange one.  My keyring is filling up with geeky items but they do keep the kidlets amused in long waits.

20160427_183604

The One and Only One Size Fits Most Trainer SnapBack Hat

Pokeman trucker hat…..interesting.  I love hats but never wear them because my style preference is more suited to the Kentucky Derby or British weddings and that means no one will be seen in public with me.  This will be worn.

20160427_183740

SGB Exclusive Ultramus Prime Art Print

I haven’t seen anything Transformers related since I was 8 and they were on for the first time.  I give most of the posters I get in this box to Bug but we’ll have to see if she has any interest in this one.

20160427_183622

SGB Exclusive Light Force Lanyard

You could have got either a red or a blue lanyard.  I realise this might be horrifying to some people but I can’t stand Star Wars.  This could be just a neat striped lanyard so it will be used on my keycard for work.

20160427_183638

SGB Exclusive Megabots VS Terracons Decal Set

More Transformers, at least stickers are cool.

20160427_183709

SGB Exclusive “Gotta conquer ’em all” T-Shirt

This mash up shirt blends Star Wars and Pokemon.  Neither of those are huge favourites of mine (see above) but I think the shirt is fun.  While this is not the best shirt I’ve ever received from them, it’s still up there.

This month was okay for me. While none of the fandoms are my big favourites, the items are good.  That’s the big gamble with the geek boxes, if you get a theme for something you are not a fan of, the whole box can be a letdown.  Next month’s theme is Hero, and they are promising an “epic exclusive t-shirt” in it plus a Funko.

Super Geek Box March 2016

Super Geek Box is a monthly subscription that sends out Geek and Gamer gear.  You always get a shirt but everything else is up in the air.  You could get Funkos or Dorbz, keychains, posters, or stickers.  Every month has a theme that the items are based on so it changes up all the time.  Boxes start at $13.92 plus $13.00 shipping a month but go down with longer plans.  All plans automatically renew so you do need to be careful if you want to cancel.  I’ve resisted getting to deep into the geek boxes just because there are so many and trying to pick is pretty difficult.  All of them are really varied and from looking at past boxes I decided to give Super Geek Box a try.  This month’s theme is Lightning.

The damn shirt is covering all the goodies!  The box looks like it might be full but it’s so hard to see at first glance.

The info card opens up to show you all the items.  If there are options for them it shows all the possible variations available.

Sega Sonic The Hedgehog Keychain Plush

This is so great!  I love it.  This makes a few different sounds that if you ever played Sonic are familiar.  I need to keep this away from my kids because I do not want to share it.  There were three options and if I had to pick I’d have gone for Pikachu but Sonic is pretty awesome.

Super Geek Box Lightning Key Cover

It’s a little Flash!  I think this shall become my work key cover.  You slide your key in to top and this fits over the head of it so you can always identify some keys easily.  It’s just so fun!

Super Geek Box Pika-Chews

This might be the best gum ever.  It is Electrifying Mint flavour and has freakin’ Pikachu on the wrapper.  I would always be Pikachu when gaming so this is fabulous.

Super Geek Box 10×24″ Ultimate Clash Poster

This poster illustrates the brawl between comic and anime.  For me personally there is no contest, I don’t care for anime.  This would be my least favourite thing in the box.  They so far have sent a poster in each box and I’d rather get something else.  I don’t have much use for these.

Super Geek Box Exclusive Hoard of the Rings T-Shirt

Now this I love!  It’s what has happened to Sonic years after his adventures.  Still collecting rings but now they just happen to be tasty ones.  As soon as I get this washed I am so wearing it!!!!

Epic ComiCast Heat-transfer Badge

This was a bonus item this month.  It is the logo of a Podcast that talks about Fandoms.  I don’t listen to podcasts so I’ve never heard of it but it sounds like it’s two siblings who love to talk about them.

Super Geek Box Pin

As usual there is a pin to commemorate the month and theme.

So this month was awesome!  It had items from things I like and that makes me happy.  That’s the big gamble with the geek boxes, if you get a theme for something you are not a fan of, the whole box can be a letdown.  Next month’s theme is Destiny, and they are promising an “epic exclusive t-shirt” in it plus awesome wearable gear.
