Real Soaps Soap Of The Month July 2017

Real Soaps is a company out of Chicago making handmade soaps and natural body care products.  They don’t use any sulphates, parabens, phthalates and are cruelty-free. They also have no dyes, preservatives, or artificial ingredients and only pure essential oils for scents.  I found them on Etsy but they also have a website.  You can buy individual soaps or they have six and twelve-month plans starting at $47.00 and shipping to Canada was under $20 for the whole term.  I’m not sure why I’m on a soap kick lately but they are fun to get.

This month we have a great blend of scents!  The Lavender Coconut smells so good.  You don’t get a tonne of the coconut part of I think that could change once you get it wet and lathered.

You can’t see it from the pictures but the top of the soap is white.  Looking at the card included you can read all about the different benefits of coconut oil and water.  It seems like this soap can make my life perfect…..or at least do good things for my body.  On the back of the card is a handwritten note saying Thank You for being a subscriber and that they hope I’ve enjoyed my soaps.  This is my last month, so that is a very nice touch.

I am always looking for bath type products and soap is such an easy way to shake up your routine.  I tend to not share these with my family but it I find a scent that is too strong or not to my liking then I give it to my hubby who is less picky.  That won’t be happening with this one!

They ship out this bar of soap in a bubble mailer.  They add the little Thank You on the back.

I love the care they take in the packaging of this soap.  It’s simple but so effective and I think it looks great.  The soap this month is Vetiver & Lemongrass.

This soap is the newest one they make.  According to their little card vetiver has many benefits.  It is an aphrodisiac, antiseptic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, sedative properties, stress and anxiety reduction, promotes the growth of new tissue, removes scars, and other skin marks.  This bar smells a little smokey to me and the lemongrass is barely there.  That may change once I actually use it and get a lather going though.

Well, that picture turned out fuzzy, didn’t it?  This is the mailer bag that the soap ships in, with their little Thank You on the back.

I love the care they take in the packaging of this soap.  It’s simple but so effective and I think it looks great.  The soap this month is Patchouli Orange Tea Scrub.

Those flecks that you see in there is organic black tea.  That’s what’s doing the exfoliating on your skin.  It also has cocoa butter for your skin.  The patchouli oil has lots of good things going for it such as being an anti-depressant, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, antiseptic, aphrodisiac, and deodorizing.  Basically, this soap will cure all your ails while making your skin better than it was.

This month, since everything went as it was supposed to, the one bar of soap is Bliss.  This one is a blend of lavender, orange, geranium, jasmine, and white pepper.  You would think will all that going on it would be overpowering but it’s not.  I like this smell and it says it will help to achieve the perfect level of happiness.  This soap is nice and I think it’ll move up the pile to get used.

There was a little note tucked into the envelope this month.  It turns out that the USPS lost a whole bunch of things and February’s soap was part of that.  This month gives us two soaps and a bonus item for any inconvenience.

February’s soap is a Rosemary & Lavender blend.  It has antimicrobial, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory properties.  It is also calming and relaxing.  It smells great and I will be using this one.  March gives us Oatmeal & Lavender.  It is softer in scent than the first one and the oatmeal softens hair and removes itchiness.  The included card also says that you can use this to wash your beard if you have one.

The bonus lip balm that they included is Clary Sage, Lemon, and Lavender.  It smells a touch medicinal but it feels very nice on my lips and I think it’ll make them soft and healthy.

This month is Wintermint and it smells so good!  I want to sniff this soap all the time and cannot wait to use it.  I also like that the wrap on the package tells me what month we are getting and the flavour.

I like that they include the little note about the soap each month.  This time it tells me the soap will tingle and energise me.  It also tells you the two mint oil blends used and that it has some antimicrobial properties.

This months soap is Evergreen.  This is a very Christmasy smelling soap.  It is almost strong enough for me to hide in the artificial tree we have and make it smell real.

They also include a little card that tells you all about your soap.  This month is Baby Soap.  It’s not for babies, they call it that because it has a duck stamped on it.  It is a gentle soap that is good for everyone and every body part.  It has chamomile and lavender in it.

They do a neat and simple package.  It tells you everything you could want to know about your soap.

20161013_175101

This months soap is vanilla &  orange with clove.  The clove is the strongest scent, which I’m sad about.  I don’t mind clove but I find it makes things a bit masculine  and just plain vanilla orange would have been better.m It does have an amount of pumice powder in it for exfoliation.

Same as last month, the soap arrived looking very professional.  Front tells you the month and the back tells you what soap it is.

They include a little card that tells you all the good things about your soap and what benefits it may have for you. This one is very strongly clove scented and the Hubs has claimed it as his.  This would be about $5.99 off their site.
