Juneberry Box April 2017

Juneberry Box is a bi-monthly subscription box that sends out 4-5 full-sized lifestyle items.  These may include jewelry, accessories, make-up or wellness products.  They are a Canadian company as well.  Boxes start at $28.50 every two months but go down with longer plans.  Shipping within Canada is free.  If you sign up for their newsletter you can get a code for $15.00 off a subscription.  Let’s check out what Juneberry has sent!

The box was heavier and more full than it has felt in a while.  I could see a few things that looked interesting on the first view but not a whole lot.

They have an info card that tells you the theme, Flower Power, and what the items are.  They said this theme was a throwback to their first ever box.

Looking Rosy Floral Pouch-$14.99

This is a cute little bag.  You could almost use it as a clutch.  It has a main zippered pocket under the flap and then the little pocket on the back.  It would be big enough for makeup or easily carry your phone and cards if you went that way.

Assorted Floral Choker Necklaces-$3.99 x 2

I’m not sure how this look ever came back but I guess it is.  I’m too old to go for it and these are too small for my neck anyways.  One is flower lace and the other is a velvet band.

20170430_183848

Blossoming Ankle Socks-$2.99

These are a very cute pair of little socks.  I’ve received a few plain pairs like this before but never one that has been so patterned.  I have yet to find a pair of shoes that work with these type of socks but they are good for around the house.

20170430_183809

Springtime Scarf-$16.40

It seems like maybe there was an assortment of patterns sent out and I’m happy with the one that I received.  It is a pale peachy/pink and has black stars polka-dotted on it.  It is an infinity scarf and while I think I look odd every time I put on a scarf like this I do like it.

Forever Pink Manicure Set-$12.99

This is going straight to work with me.  I have been looking for such a perfect little kit to keep there to deal with the inevitable nail issues that I get.  It has clippers, tweezers, a file, and scissors to get you through almost anything that will come up.

They have been sending out very different things from month to month so it’s always a surprise what I’m going to find when I open this one up.  The value this month is $50.00.  Shipping is quick as well due to them being a Canadian company.  If you want to check them out click here.

Juneberry February 2017

Juneberry Box is a bi-monthly subscription box that sends out 4-5 full-sized lifestyle items.  These may include jewellery, accessories, make-up or wellness products.  They are a Canadian company as well.  Boxes start at $28.50 every two months but go down with longer plans.  Shipping within Canada is free.  If you sign up for their newsletter you can get a code for $15.00 off a subscription.  Let’s check out what Juneberry has sent!

The box was quite light this month but it looked like it might have good things in it.

The info card tells us that the theme this month is Elegance.  They have found five items that they feel help you to get there.

Rose Quartz Necklace-$16.00

I think this is a beautiful necklace.  It has a very long chain and it ends up sitting about a third of the way down my chest.  The rectangle of quartz is a good size but it doesn’t seem big.  This will get worn often and is a great start to the box.

20170219_194025Handmade Ring Dish-$14.00

In person, this looks every bit handmade and not it a good way.  It’s rustic to put it politely, or something my kids made to not.  I’ll use it but it’ll be put in a drawer and hidden from view.

20170219_194011Japanese Cherry Blossom Hand Sanitizer-$2.00

This is from B&BW and while I don’t know how it fits the theme, I always have at least two bottles of this on my person at all times.  Kids touch everything and then eat things right after so in the hopes of not having the plague run through the house on a monthly basis, we go through this stuff all the time.

20170219_194044Patterned Notebook-$5.00

This is a lovely lined notebook.  The gold dots are shimmery and keep it fun.  The paper feels high quality and while it’s not cardstock thick it is thicker than plain paper.

20170219_194055Julep Nail Polish in April-$14.00

I’ve used the Julep polishes before and they are great.  This shade is an orangey-red that will be very fun in summer or on my toes any time of the year.

They have been sending out very different things from month to month so it’s always a surprise what I’m going to find when I open this one up.  The value this month is $51.00.  Shipping is quick as well due to them being a Canadian company.  If you want to check them out click here.

Juneberry November 2016

20161110_124852 20161110_124907

This sub ships in a bright purple box with the logo all over it.  Inside is wrapped with purple paper and  things are hidden from view on first opening.

20161110_124917 20161110_124922

There is an info card that tells you a bit about the theme and what items you are getting this time.

20161110_124930

Once I got past the paper, the box looked a little empty, but it smelled great!

20161110_125044

Golden Antler Necklace-$15.00

I really like this!  It is fun and cute and I will wear this one for sure.  It is a good length and while it’s not real gold, it is well done and doesn’t look cheap.  Box is off to a good start.

20161110_125159

Wall Butterfly Decor-$8.00

This collection of twelve comes with sticky tabs to make a design on your wall.  I think my Hubby would be quite upset if I tries to do this in the living room or bedroom but maybe in my sewing room or the girls rooms I can pull it off.

20161110_124943 20161110_124952

Artisanal Handmade Bark Pencils-$5.00

I think these are cool and I don’t even want to use them.  The big one is a normal pencil and the small one is a pencil crayon.  These fit a wilderness theme quite well.

20161110_125108

Organic Nature Soaps-$4.00

These are what smells so good in the box.  There are two bars with no info at all so I don’t know what scents or where they came from.  Soap is always good though.

20161110_125057

Branch Hair Pin-$10.00

This is a gold plated bobby pin with a branch attached it.  I think this will make a cute accessory and I’ll need to figure out a way to work this into my routine.

Everything in this months box fit the theme really well.  They included a mix of things that you wouldn’t expect.  The box has a value of $42.00.  They have been sending out very different things from month to month so it’s always a surprise what I’m going to find when I open this one up.  Shipping was quick as well due to them being a Canadian company.  If you want to check them out click here.

Juneberry July 2016

Juneberry Box is a bi-monthly subscription box that sends out 4-5 full-sized lifestyle items.  These may include jewelry, accessories, make-up or wellness products.  They are a Canadian company as well.  Boxes start at $28.50 every two months but go down with longer plans.  Shipping within Canada is free.  If you sign up for their newsletter you can get a code for $15.00 off a subscription.  Let’s check out what Juneberry has sent!

20160712_152519

The box is easily identified.  Beyond the bright purple, it is also branded and even has the website just in case the mailman wants in too!

20160712_152612

The box seems festive upon opening.  Looking closer I can see a birthday card….hmmmmmm.

20160712_152631

Inside the card they explain that it’s their 1st birthday and they want to thank their subscribers.  It also list the items in the box and a little bit about each of them, plus prices.

20160712_152710

The box felt really light and opening it it was a little empty but since things were quite jumbled it was hard to tell.

20160712_152741

Floral Whisper Earrings-$4.00

These are super cute and something I would never, ever buy for myself.  The are not too large and very detailed.  I will definitely wear these.

20160712_152839 20160712_152823

Notecake-$5.00

This is an adorable notepad and I love it!  I have two of these that are apple shaped and this one is so much better!  This is going to work with me tomorrow.

20160712_152856

Blooming Thoughts Headband-$12.00

This is a nice headband but they are always so odd for me to wear.  This one is just a touch too large for my head but I think I can tighten it up.  It is a beautiful lacy floral fabric and will go with lots of different clothing options.

20160712_152929 20160712_152934

Mystery Gift-Pendant Necklace-$8-$16

This is an item from their mystery shop as a bonus for their birthday.  I think it’s lovely and rustic looking.  It has a small flower bloom encased in the oval glass.  So delicate and feminine.

20160712_152955 20160712_152959

Loving Keepsake Necklace-$21.00

I think it’s slightly odd to get two of basically the same item in the same month.  I prefer the other one but this one is pretty too.  It has two different flowers in it and the heart is cut glass.  I like the chain on this one.  It is not links but miniature balls.

My second box was slightly less exciting than the first one.  It once again had items I would not pick for myself but that it turns out I like.  I do find that if you are going to put a mystery item in, maybe you should take into consideration what else is going to be in the box.  The overall box value is $50, if I use the low value on the mystery gift.  I think it’s still fairly good though and  about double the box price.  Shipping was quick as well due to them being a Canadian company.  If you want to check them out click here.

20160516_180029

This is the side of the box.  The top and bottom both had my address on them so there was no excuse for this box not to find it’s way to me.  This box felt really light so I wasn;t sure what I would find inside.

20160516_180037 20160516_180055

Opening up the lid gave me more purple!  Once I took off the card and peeled back the tissue paper I could see a few things but lots was hidden from me.

20160516_180045

The info card tells me the theme for the month, Geometric Me.   They take that to mean that everyone is unique and that you should never hide that from the world. The card also tells you what it is you can find in the box and the pricing of it.

20160516_180213

Confident Shapes Long Geometric Necklace-$10.00

So for the first thing out of the box, it makes me think I’m going to enjoy this box!  This necklace is very pretty and though it seems like it should be clunky, it’s quite delicate.  The lower v is a soft turquoise and goes well with the gold.  I rarely would choose yellow gold jewelry if I was picking but  surprisingly I really like this one.

20160516_180226

Beauty In Triangles Triangular Geometric Earrings-$12.00

I would never, ever, pick these for myself.  That being said I’m not that averse to them.  They are about 1-1/2″ overall, so not that big.  They are gold edged, with white and black enamel triangles.  Black is a fairly standard choice in my wardrobe so these will go with plenty of things.

20160516_180105

Flash Tattoos Assorted Metallic Tattoos-$4.85

I’m not sure how I feel about these.  I think that the metallic tattoo fad is only able to be pulled off by people under 25 and that isn’t me.  I want to wear these but there is a chance that they will go to the girls, who love fake tattoos.

20160516_180147

Sunshine & Stripes Assorted Coloured Socks-$10.00

There is simply no way these socks are worth $10.  Maybe if this was a pack of 6 or 8 but not on their own.  They are fun and bright and stripy but they are just regular socks. I like socks so I’m happy to get more and these ones do say look at me.

20160516_180243

Animal Kingdom Adult Colouring Book-$8.00

I have a few adult colouring books and a brand new package of pencil crayons but I seem to not make the time to actually colour.  This book has extremely detailed pictures in it.  Each one will take hours to colour in.  It’ll go on the shelf and maybe this summer I can sit outside in the evenings and make art.

20160516_180257

Also tossed in the box were four gems.  I gave these to the girls, who LOVE them.

I’m quite happy with my first Juneberry box.  It had items I would not pick for myself but that it turns out I like.  The only item this month that is a little downer is the tattoos but that’s just my preference not a reflection of the item itself.  The overall box value is $44.85, but I think that is slightly inflated because of the socks.  I think it’s still fairly good though and  about double the box price.  Shipping was quick as well due to them being a Canadian company.  If you want to check them out click here.
