Glorious Life Soap Of The Month July 2017

Glorious Life is a Canadian company that makes handcrafted soap, skin, and body care products.  I found them on Etsy but they also have a website.  They make all their items in small batches and they are free from synthetic dyes and fragrances, preservatives, parabens, and phthalates.  They are all gluten free and most of them are vegan as well.  They offer 4, 6, and 12-month subscriptions, starting at $25.00, including shipping to Canada.  I was looking for something different and was happy to stumble across this one.

They ship the soap in a regular envelope and inside of that is this cardstock.  It wraps around the soap and keeps everything nice and safe.

Forest Fresh Natural Soap-$2.25

I am very happy to have received this one.  It was one that I have been waiting for all subscription and since this is my last bar, I put in a special request for it.  They had been sold out on the website so I wasn’t getting my hopes up but it’s here and I love it!  It is a blend of four pines and smells like the forest as opposed to Christmas.

I’m really glad to support a Canadian company and enjoy handcrafted bath products.  This is an inexpensive way to get a great selection of soaps and after browsing their site there is definitely a few soaps I’m hoping will show up in my mailbox.  If you sign up for their newsletter you can get 15% off your purchase and they have also sent me a code to get 3% off any further purchases from the site.

This one ships itself out in a normal letter envelope so they enclose the soap in a cardstock to protect it.  They also add a little note on each one.

Sensitive Shampoo Bar-$5.00

There was a little bit of a surprise this month as what fell out was not a bar of soap but a bar of shampoo.  I have never used a shampoo bar before so I am very happy that they added the instructions along with it.  It does say you may need to give it a few tried to get your hair used to the new routine and the lack of chemicals on it.

Since they ship this sub in a normal envelope they wrap the bar of soap in cardstock before sticking it in there to keep it safe.  The owner adds a little note on it each month.

Activated Charcoal Soap-$2.25

This soap is from their Natural line.   Charcoal is commonly used as a detoxifier.  This helps to make a great facial bar as well as a hand and body bar.  With summer almost here and being outside more anything that can keep my skin looking good in fewer clothes is more than welcome.

This soap ships in a regular envelope and inside that it is wrapped in cardstock.  They always include a little message on the paper.

This months soap is Plain & Simple.  This one has no preservatives, detergents, dyes, gluten, artificial colours or fragrances.  If just kinda smells like soap.  It is from their organic line.  The bar is 63g and retails for $3.25.

20170310_180502I love how they send this soap all wrapped up in card stock inside of a regular envelope.  They add the personal note every time and I can’t stress enough how that little touch makes all the difference.

The soap this month is Citronella & Calendula.  It is from their Natural soap line and would retail for $3.25.  I don’t really like the smell, the citronella is a bit strong for me and I can’t really get anything beyond that.  As I’m writing this, though, the Hubs has wandered by and says he loves it so he now has a new bar of soap to play with.

20170208_174639This sub ships in a regular legal-sized envelope.  Inside that is this folded cardstock that contains the bar of soap.

20170208_174658There was a business card tucked in as well as a piece of paper letting me know about their newest Etsy shop.

The soap for this month is Orange Chai.  This is from their Organic line and has a retail value of $3.25.  I like the way this one smells. The orange is very subtle and the chai in it as well.

Inside of a regular envelope is this cardstock folded around your bar of soap.  They have also added a personal message on it, which I love and is a great touch.

This month the bar is Ylang Ylang Fusion.  This one is not available on the website so I don’t know if it’s new or special for subscribers.  I think this might be the scent I like the least out of the ones I’ve received.  I’m not sure what ylang-ylang smells like, so I don’t know if that’s what I dislike or if one of the other scents mixed in is the problem but I think this will be one that gets left unused for a while.  It is a 63g bar and based on the price of other soaps in the shop it would retail for $3.25.

This single bar of soap comes in a standard envelope with a stamp.  Inside you find your soap safely wrapping in card stock.

This month the soap is Apple Spice.  This is one of their Organic line of soaps and also a seasonal scent for them.  The description from the website says “The scent of fall! This bar is scented with cinnamon, clove, nutmeg. Perfect to help you cozy into the cooler months.”  I really get the clove and cinnamon scents.  The bar is nice but I find clove to me more of a masculine scent so this might go to the Hubs. The bar is 63g and has a value of $3.25.

The soap this month is Lemongrass and is from their Natural Soap Line.  It says it should have a “Fresh, herbaceous, lemony scent” and it really does.  I think it will be a great scent to use to wake up and feel refreshed in the mornings.  This bar is 63g and worth $2.25.

The soap this month is Candy Cane.  It is one of their natural soap bars and they say it smells like candy canes.  I don’t get that when I sniff it.  It does have a mint scent but it’s very soft and mild.  I also happen to think it looks like blue cheese and not anything festive.  Maybe I’m just tired.  This bar is worth $2.25
