L.V.Kiki March 2017

L.V.Kiki is a monthly subscription box of 4-6 fashion accessories.  You can either sign up for the plans or if you want to see what type of things they send out you can order a one-off trial box.  The boxes may include jewelry, shoes, scarves, gloves, hats, legwear, belts, and hair accessories. Boxes start at $19.00 per month and shipping to here was less than $1.00 per month.  I was in the market for an accessories box and after finding a discount code for this one I got it at a great price. Shipping is always super quick and I can’t wait to see what’s inside.

This month was a fairly square box that showed up.  I could see a hat off the top but everything else was hidden.

20170308_174852

Since it was on the top I guess we’ll start with the hat.  It has a velcro adjustable back and a Navajo pattern for the front piece.  I’m not sure if this is trendy or not but I’ll wear it around the yard or camping and it will be fine for that.

Next out was a grey and white glasses case.  There was not a pair of glasses inside, so that’s a wee bit sad but it doesn’t hurt to have extra cases around the house.  Between my actual glasses and any sunglasses that I might relocate from last year, I can put this to use.

There was a smaller organza bag in there and inside it was three items.  We have a horizontal cross necklace, with “diamonds” on the cross.  I’ve seen this style around for a few years now and think it’s nice so I’m happy to get this.  Next is an owl keychain.  It has a pink stone for a body, diamonds for a head and eyes, and silver eyes and feet.  Last out of this bag is a blue and diamond bracelet.  The blue parts are patterned to look like woven rope.  Some of the paint has chipped off, showing the silver base below.  It doesn’t look too bad though and I may use this as we get closer to summer.

There was also a big bag of goodies.  Inside that one, we have a ginormous pair of silver hoops.  I don’t think the picture does them justice but they are big enough to sit just above my shoulders when I put them on.  There is a pair of blue and silver drop earrings.  I had received a pair of these in pink a few months ago and love them.  I am very happy to get another pair in a different colour.  The dragonfly hair clip will be good to use for work.  It’ll keep my hair out of the way and still add a touch of whimsy to my life.  Lastly, we have an infinity scarf with a pompon fringe.   I love the idea of scarves but I think I look odd when I wear them.  I guess I need to just get over that and leave them on while I leave the house instead of second guessing myself and taking them off.

All of the items come with the L.V.Kiki brand tags on them so there is no way to value them.  I have a few misses with items in these boxes but it’s just one of two of the things, never a whole box.   It almost seems like a steal at the prices I paid.  If the rest of my boxes are as good as this one was for me I will be more than happy.  I think this will be one of those boxes that is a great find!

LVL Up has been renamed to Loot Wear.  It is a monthly subscription catering to people looking for geek clothing and accessories.  They allow you to choose between four options, socks, t-shirts, wearables, and for her.  They just introduced a new plan, Undies.  You can also select the from two bundles if you wanted more than just one choice.  Plans start from $11.99USD and while shipping is included in the US to get things here you need additional shipping fees.  I have chosen the for her option which sends out 1-2 items of apparel and accessories each month.  This month’s theme is The Magical Collection.

They ship this sub out in a bag with a quote from a movie on it.  You can win things if you let them know the movie.  The bag is bigger this month then last but anything could be inside.

They have an info card that shows all the options for they various types of wearables.

Kingdom Hearts Icons Scarf

I have no clue what Kingdom Hearts is.  This scarf is nice and thick and I think the symbols are vague enough that I could just wear it.  It appears to be some Disney movie???

This month is back to being a bit of a bust. I’m having some buyers regret with this one, though a few of the  months have helped alleviate that slightly.   I’m not sure if this will now be more clothing oriented that it was but I guess we’ll find out.  I have a few months left in my plan so I’ll get to see.  It’s neat stuff but so far nothing that has wowed me.  You can visit their site by clicking here to explore all the options.

Edward Scissorhands Raglan

I think this is a great shirt!  I’m going to have to go on the site and update my sizes though because this one is huge!  I’ll still wear it and it’s not like it’s falling off but it is bigger than I would have picked myself.

This was one of my better months from them.

This box ships in varying boxes depending on what you are getting each month.  At the very least it’ll have branded packing tape on it, but some months it’s the whole box that’s branded.

20161108_142703

They don’t do an info card but everything comes packed in little bags and is tagged with the L.V.Kiki name.

20161108_142727

First up is this beautiful infinity scarf.  You can’t tell from the picture but it has silver threads woven in as well.  It is not horribly thick but just a nice weight that’ll keep you warm, and look great too!

20161108_142957 20161108_142800

I guess it’s all about keeping warm this month!  There is a knitted ear band, which has an adjustable button on the back to help it fit most heads.  There is also what might be leg warmers?  Arm warmers? Boot cuffs?  I think I’ll use them for my arms, as they fit and I can’t make any ideas beyond that.  They are nice though!

20161108_144330

There is usually some jewelry and this month is no different.  This is a bracelet with the two silver sides being solid and the beaded parts elasticized to get it on your wrist.  I have tiny wrists and this fits me well, so that’s a win!

20161108_144339

I really like these earrings!  They are black and silver and while they are long, they are not heavy.  Can’t wait to wear these!

20161108_144356

Lastly there was four rings.  The feather one seems to be a big tread right now so that’s cool.  The other ones are a set of three with a star, moons, and one with the turquise and “diamonds”.

All of the items come with the L.V.Kiki brand tags on them so I found a few of them on their site.  I have a few misses with items in these boxes but it’s just one of two of the things, never a whole box.   It almost seems like a steal at the prices I paid.  If the rest of my boxes are as good as this one was for me I will be more than happy.  I think this will be one of those boxes that was a great find!

Good Luck Sock October 2016

Good Luck Sock is a Canadian company sending out a variety of different sock styles and types.  They have an online shop, a few different monthly options and did I mention they are Canadian?  The sock of the month club offers you one pair of funky socks making it to your mailbox each month.  You can order a 6 or 12 month plan or opt for the Baker’s Dozen, which is the 12 month plus a welcome pair of socks.  Plans start at $72.00 and shipping is free.  The style of sock you will get each month is random but they do promise not to send you out the same pair twice.  They offer a men’s or a ladies option and you can also send these as a gift to someone.

20161103_181902

It’s always easy to know when this one arrives.  The flat envelope fits easily in my mailbox and looks great.

20161103_181921 20161103_181927

They included a card to remind me that my subscription is over and if I wanted to renew they included a discount code.

20161103_182002

For my last pair of socks from them……I’m in love!  The waving bear has a slightly threatening expression and it’s so cute.  They really are one of the best pairs I’ve received from them in my year.

This was my last sock subscription and it mostly makes me happy.  I’ve enjoyed the socks I’ve received and none of them have worn out or developed holes.   My only issue is that the socks are not as crazy and loud as I would like.  Shipping for me is super quick since they are only a 6 hour drive away.  I love supporting Canadian boxes and think it’s awesome that they are able to provide products on par with the Americans.  If you want to check them out you can click here to visit their site.

They have a quote on the bag,  that if you identify and share your answer, you can be entered to win a prize pack.

They did send a card showing the other options but it’s much smaller and to the point than the fold out ones they used to send.

20161005_192219

The actual item this month Transformers Arcee Sleep Shorts.  These are a very thin pair of cotton shorts that you very much should only wear in bed.  I have not seen any of the new Transformers movies so I don’t know anything about this character at all.  With winter here, thanks to a record breaking snowfall, sometimes I like to have a bit more clothes on for nighttime.

This month was just okay again for me.

They included a card telling you all about their new collection for fall and einter.  They also included a discount code to get 15% off.

20161004_142104

I love the pair of socks this month!  They are baby blue with reindeer on them and they make me super happy.  This is the type of sock I am hoping to get each time I open the envelope.

This is my last sock subscription and it mostly makes me happy.

20160908_194401

Well I couldn’t see much of anything opening the box so the anticipation hung around for a minute more.

20160908_194434

I think it’s great that these guys send out hats.  Not to many other boxes do.  This is a black felt hat and I’ll need to gently steam it to get out the slight bend that packing it in a box gave it.  It fits my head and is a nice hat for fall.

20160908_194520

Next out we have a pair of black studs.  These are okay and will go with the bracelet they sent last month as well.  These are bigger than something I would normally wear that isn’t dangly so they’ll put me out of my comfort zone.

20160908_194529_001

This is a jeweled bracelet.  The back is a pleather band with two snaps for adjusting it on your wrist.  I like the way this looks on me and the smaller of the settings fits, so it doesn’t twist around.

20160908_194621

This is a hair clip.  It looks like it’ll get tight enough to hold my fine hair.  It has teeth in the top to grip and the clip goes across the whole thing.

20160908_194731

This is the greatest thing in the box!  It might be the greatest thing I’ve received all month actually.  It is a poncho shawl and it is going to work with me!  It is freezing in my office and half the time I keep my coat on.  This is wonderful and big enough to wrap around and covers all the way past my backside.

This was the card letting us know things have changed up a little.

They did send a card showing the other options but it’s much smaller and to the point than the fold out ones they used to send.

20160909_155034

I’m not 100% certain but I believe this is a Harley Quinn skirt.  It is half black and half red with the diamond pattern on the one side.  I don’t know that this is something I’d wear.  I haven’t seen Suicide Squad but it looks like it’ll be a good movie so they completely current.

This month was just okay for me. I may just wear this around the house.

We have some bird socks this month.  When I pulled out the pair they were sideways and I thought they were unicorns and I almost died from joy.  However once I got them right they are some type of bird and while I am sad to lose unicorns, these ones are still pretty cool.

This is my last sock subscription and it mostly makes me happy.
