Bonjour Jolie is a time-of-the-month box that sends you your necessary items plus some other products to make you feel a little better during that special time. You give them some information about your period and then select the 25 items you need in any variation of pads, liners or tampons. They have a wide selection of brands, so no matter what you use they can cover you. They also include a gift, bath and body items, teas and drinks, candy and snacks, some wipes and if you want, some Advil. Boxes shipped to Canada are $24.50 a month but do decrease somewhat if you order in 3 or 6 month plans. You can also add on some extras like heating pads or more Advil for additional costs. I haven’t received this subscription in a while and decided to give it another go since I had enjoyed it so much the first time around. Unfortunately it has been nothing but a problem since. I subscribed in March and while I appear to be getting boxes now I’m still missing a few months. I have been in constant contact with them and am trying to resolve all the issues and have not had much success. This is the first box I’ve received sine August and I have had no response to emails asking about the missing boxes.
The box was filled to the brim. I could see lots of snacks and goodies and the wrapped up reason for the box.
This is everything out of the box. It’s quite the assortment when you see it like this.
They do include an info card that gives an overview of the things you will find that aren’t pads and tampons.
The Gift-One Pulse Bracelet-$9.99
This bracelet is meant to be a reminder that we are one human race and show support for the Orlando shootings. I like both the message and the bracelet and thankfully, it can clasp up small enough for my tiny wrists.
The Pampering-Bonjour Jolie Pumpkin Spice Body Lotion-$12.00
This is scented with pumpkin and cinnamon. I like the spice overtones but the pumpkin is super sweet and not for me. That being said the lotion absorbed well and my hands are not greasy feeling.
The Edibles
There is an assortment of things to make you feel better at that time of the month. Werther’s Caramel Apple Sot Caramels($1), Hershey’s Chocolate Bar($1), ChipsAhoy Chocolate Chip Cookies($1), Lorna Doone Shortbread($1), Hershey’s Kisses in Pumpkin Spice and Chocolate($.75), SunBelt Bakery Granola Bars($1.50), and Bigelow Tea($1). It’s a mix of sweet and healthy and chocolate, which is what I want when I’m craving.
There is the usual wipes and Advil for the practical side of that time of the month.
Here is the actual items. You can select the assortment or get a full box of one type of product.
I am glad to actually get one of their boxes again and it was as good as the rest. I enjoy discovering the couple of things besides the feminine items. The value of items this month is around $29.00 but no one is buying this box for the value. With a coupon and a trip to the grocery store I can get more products for less but the little helpers are a way to not have to think about the reason for the box. It’s also one less thing to remember to buy if you have them delivered.
Did you ever get a reply from Bonjour Jolie? I was so happy with my first 3 month subscription… it automatically renewed (which I hadn’t been planning on, but figured it was fine since I really did love the boxes) and then I got one box and after that nothing. I have emailed them numerous times with no response and I’m frustrated that I paid for product I’m not receiving. I’ve searched for a phone number with no luck.

I have had no responses from them at all but I did receive another shipment notice today so at least I know I have one more box coming.

You know you don’t have to put up with that right? You can dispute the charges with your credit card company. Most people end up getting refunded that way.
Companies are not allowed to withhold products that you paid for. Just be assertive & tell your credit card company that you paid for a subscription box service that has not sent you your boxes and has been nonresponsive in all your efforts to contact them.
Make sure you include the details (how many boxes are missing, when you signed up, and about how many times youve tried to contact the company). Most credit card companies are sympathetic, provided you give them these basic details to the best of your knowledge and are calm, collected, and assertive.
A lot of people have gotten refunded this way & it’s totally worth it. Get your money back! Afterwards, cancel the service so they can’t charge you again. And leave the company a bad review so it can warn others. The less people who buy the box, the stronger of a message it sends to the company that we won’t tolerate this. We don’t deserve to be treated like that – to have our money taken, to be ignored. That’s not right.

That’s a good idea… I’ll try that. At this point I’m just really frustrated and would be very happy if that would work.

Yea I mean it’s at least worth a try. It definitely can’t hurt but it could help. At the very least, you did help me because I was considering subscribing but I always read reviews first . I stumbled upon this one and just got angry hearing about another company doing this lol…so I was like ok, looks like it’s definitely not worth my time.
You can also report them to the Better Business Bureau online.

I’ve tried that with my bank and they told me that because I had made a one-time purchase as opposed to the month to month ones, I was past the time allowed to get a refund from them. Which isn’t fair to me because most companies will ship out at least one or two boxes before things go bad.

In desperation I contacted Bonjour Jolie once more and they actually responded this time… They said they’d send me my missing boxes and include a couple extra gifts for the trouble. The tracking number they emailed is showing that there is in fact a parcel in the mail so I will wait and see how this turns out. Their boxes are great when you get them but I know I will not be subscribing again.
