Super Geek Box is a monthly subscription that sends out Geek and Gamer gear. You always get a shirt but everything else is up in the air. You could get Funkos or Dorbz, keychains, posters, or stickers. Every month has a theme that the items are based on so it changes up all the time. Boxes start at $13.92 plus $13.00 shipping a month but go down with longer plans. All plans automatically renew so you do need to be careful if you want to cancel. I’ve resisted getting too deep into the geek boxes just because there are so many and trying to pick is pretty difficult. All of them are really varied and from looking at past boxes I decided to give Super Geek Box a try. This month’s theme is Sidekick.
So I opened this box and actually squealed. My husband thought something was wrong with me but in fact I couldn’t have been happier with what I saw!
They have a nice info card that tells you about the items this month. They also show the different options if there was any that month.
Funko POP Vinyl Marvel Dancing Groot
This was the item that has me all excited. I freaking love Groot and to get the baby Groot from the end of the movie, who is soooooo cute and fun and just everything perfect. This has made up for any box that was ever not great across any subscription I have. So HAPPY!
SGB Beer-Mo Can Cooler
This koozie is an Adventure Time reference. I don’t watch that one but have a basic reference of the characters. I honestly don’t think we own a koozie so this is a good thing I guess.
SGB Loyal Buddies Dual Tag Necklace
Well they sure got the timing right with this one. Original Pokemon characters are on the dog tags. This isn’t really my thing but I know the girls always enjoy another necklace to add to their jewel treasures.
SGB 16 Bit Gaming Pop-Art Decal
Who doesn’t love Yoshi? This sticker has him in all his glorious colour options. I’m not sure where I need to put this but I know I’ll think of something. Yoshi rocks!
SGB PocketPal T-Shirt Modifier
This is an iron on transfer to make it look like you have Adventure Time in your pocket. I think I might now someone who would like this because I won’t use it. It’s neat though and something new that I’ve never seen in a box before.
SGB Exclusive R8-D8 Droid Fusion T-Shirt
This month’s shirt is a mash up of the old droid and the new droid from Star Wars. I’m sure to a die hard fan this is some type of sacrilege but since I don’t qualify as one, I think it’s okay. Not my favourite shirt from them but since Groot makes up for everything, it’s good.
If you haven’t guessed, I love this months box. Groot is fantastic and Yoshi is good to. The rest of the stuff is fine though not really my fandoms. The shirt is just okay, since they are usually so awesome. That’s the big gamble with the geek boxes, if you get a theme for something you are not a fan of, the whole box can be a letdown. Next month’s theme is Colossal, and they are promising a gaming gear and their best shirt yet in it.
