TeeBlox is a monthly t-shirt subscription that sends out licensed geek and gamer shirts. They offer you the choice of 8 different themes. You can pick from Disney, Marvel, DC Comics, Cartoons, Movies & TV Shows, Games, Beers & Liquors, and Hot Meex. You get the shirt plus a comic and some stickers usually and prices start at $9.99 a month. Shipping to Canada is a bit of a downer though at $15/month and that was a surprise because their shipping lists at $2.50 and doesn’t say that it is only for the US. I went with the Hot Meex theme so I had no clue what to expect for a shirt.
First thing out of the bag this month are a Green Lantern and Batman sticker. I think I may have already received the Batman one before but that’s okay.
The comic this month is The Stand: Captain Trips No.4 from February 2009. I still can’t get over the fact that comics are now printed on glossy paper. They are so far beyond what I used to read and to be honest it freaks me out a little. This was worth $3.99 when it was published.
Yay another True Blood shirt…..not. I had hoped when I signed up for the Hot Meex that they would rotate through all the options but I seem to be stuck on a few of them. I have never watched this show and therefor don’t get any references to things or have any knowledge of the show.
I’m really glad I only got a 6 month plan with this one. The stuff has just not been things I really like. Here’s hoping the last few make up for it. I am miffed about the shipping but beyond that the shirt feels like good quality and it’s not thin at all. They say they are licensed though I can’t tell either way so I’m going to believe them.
