Urthbox is a healthy snack subscription that sends out all sorts of goodies that are better for you then regular snacks. They offer four different boxes, vegan, diet, classic or gluten-free. They also offer four sizes of box, mini, small, medium, and large, which range from 6 to 24 items per box. I picked this one up on a Groupon so I got six months of the mini for $32.00. Boxes normally run from $12.99-$39.99 a month. If you really like people you can also get an office box that has 100 snacks and will set you back $199 a month. Let’s see what’s inside this month.
The box is stuffed! After I took the pictures I tried to put everything back in and I couldn’t close it up.
Pipcorn Mini Popcorn-23g $1.13
This is popcorn that is made from mini kernels so the shells are smaller and don’t get caught in your teeth. This one is truffle flavoured. I have no clue what a truffle tastes like so this will be an experience. This whole bag is 90 calories and gluten free if that matters to you.
Little Secrets Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Premium Chocolate Candies-42.5g $2.50
These seem to be something like an M&M. The center is peanut butter, followed by a layer of dark chocolate, covered in a candy coating. They have no artificial ingredients, flavours, or colours. They are also fair trade. Possibly best of all…..there is a unicorn on the package. Who doesn’t love unicorns?
Mind HD Clear Brain Fog Supplement-2 capsules $2.00
This product is supposed to promote clean, sustained focus and help you perform at a higher level. It does not have caffeine in it and you can take up to 6 pills a day. It is not recommended for those breastfeeding so I’ll have to give it a pass for now but they don’t expire for a year yet so I’ll give them a try eventually.
Fru-licious Fruit & Cream Smoothie-40mL $0.31
This is a freezie. It is made with real fruit juice and I’m thinking the girls will get this when the ask for a freezie, which is at least six times a day right now.
Kutoa Chocolate Banana Bar-48g $1.74
This is made from whole fruits, chocolate, chia, and flax seed. It is gluten and soy free, vegan, and non-gmo as well. Surprisingly I have really started to like these type of bars. They are super dense and really sweet so they satisfy my cravings for food and treats.
Gem Gem Ginger Candy-35.44g $1.33
I think I may have a slight ginger allergy so I will try these with caution. I like ginger but occasionally my mouth goes all funny when I eat something with it in it. These feel nice and soft so I want to eat them.
Bunches Of Crunches Superfood Grainola-30g $0.65
Yummy chocolate! This is full of all sorts of ancient grains that have been covered in dark chocolate and sea salt. The company makes only gluten free items and these are non-gmo as well.
Active Sustain 2 Go Fruit Snack-42g
I couldn’t find this online anywhere but it looks so tasty! It has cranberries, raisins, apricots, and banana chips. I love fruit mixes like this but they are so high in calories that I am not allowed to have them all that often.
Dream Water Sleep Powder-$1.00
I think this is the first time I’ve received a sleep supplement in this form. Appropriately named Snoozeberry flavour it is drug free and promises to allow you to not feel groggy upon waking.
This is my last box from them and I’m a little sad. I have enjoyed the snacks they send out and I think I’ll be on the lookout for another Groupon. This month has a value of $10.66. Even though it’s the mini, I got 8 items this month and though it’s definitely one of the lower value boxes I received from them, I’m still okay with it. I am also happy that I can eat a lot of these things on my diet. This is a good box if you are looking for snacks that taste good and are still on the good side of things.
