Super Geek Box is a monthly subscription that sends out Geek and Gamer gear. You always get a shirt but everything else is up in the air. You could get Funkos or Dorbz, keychains, posters, or stickers. Every month has a theme that the items are based on so it changes up all the time. Boxes start at $13.92 plus $13.00 shipping a month but go down with longer plans. All plans automatically renew so you do need to be careful if you want to cancel. I’ve resisted getting to deep into the geek boxes just because there are so many and trying to pick is pretty difficult. All of them are really varied and from looking at past boxes I decided to give Super Geek Box a try. This month’s theme is Apocalypse.
Opening up the lid didn’t show me much, a Dorbz and something wrapped in tissue paper, all very snuggly packed in the box. The info sheet lists all your products and lets you know what options were available.
First out of the box was the Dorbz of the month. There were three possible ones you could get and I received Daryl Dixon. He has a value of $9.99 and since I don’t watch The Walking Dead I will probably give this to my Hubby to play with.
Next up was a 5″x7″ Art Print of The Caped Walker. I think this is adorable and will probably hang it up at work, since sometimes I feel that brains are in short supply there.
We have a Walkers Fridge Magnet next. As I said I don’t do Walking Dead but it’s a fun magnet and as long as it sticks to the fridge I’m down with it.
There were also two variations of Survival Air Fresheners. I got red, which would be strength but you could have received green, +1 life. Mario is a favourite of mine so I enjoy the random bits of stuff they include.
Another exclusive item this month was the Boo-Buster Zipper Pull. I think I am probably just a little too old to wear this on my coat but my backpack is about to become much cooler. The pin was a bonus item this month and is just promotion for the box.
The last and biggest item in the box was the t-shirt. It is a Zombie Annihilation Survivor Tee. They have done it up in 8-bit style and while it would not be a shirt I will wear out in public, it’ll be a great house shirt. I like the classic styling just not the zombie theme.
This month was not so great for me. That’s the big gamble with the geek boxes, if you get a theme for something you are not a fan of, the whole box can be a letdown. There were a few items that I liked and there is always the hope of next month being more my style. Next month’s theme is Lightning, and they are promising an “epic exclusive t-shirt” in it.
