LVL UP+ by Loot Crate January 2016

LVL Up is a monthly subscription catering to people looking for geek clothing and accessories.  They allow you to choose between four options, socks, t-shirts, wearables, and female accessories.  You can also select the wearable and sock bundle if you wanted more than just the one choice.  Plans start from $11.99USD and while shipping is included in the US to get things here you need additional shipping fees.  I have chosen the accessories option which sends out 1-2 items each month.  This month’s theme was Invasion.

Everything came in this branded bubble mailer.  Made it easy to know what subscription had arrived.  It did feel pretty light and empty but I was still hopeful for something fun.

Included in the mailer was a booklet that detailed all the items across the various packages.  You could have received a Space Invaders Hoodie (bunnyhug! I’m from Saskatchewan dammit!), I Believe In Alien and Destiny Socks, or Heart Invaders T-Shirt.  It’s a great way to let people know what they are missing and up your sales.

My accessory came in its own little pouch.  Since I had looked in the book forst I knew what I was getting but that was okay.

Star Trek Friendship Necklace

This necklace is made to be worn two ways.  You can split it up and give half to your best friend or you can wear it all as one, it has a magnet to hold the pieces together.  The quote on it is from Spock, who is one of the best characters ever.  I am a small t Trekkie so I am quite happy.  It also came with a COA from the maker to ensure that it is official.

So for my first item from them I am pretty happy.  I like Star Trek and this is subtle enough that I could wear it and I don’t think people would notice unless they are really looking at it.  I wouldn’t want to break it up because then you would need to explain it and I’m not into that.  You can visit their site by clicking here to explore all the options.
