Since our BarkBox subscription ran out I decided to get just a six month plan of another one for the pups. There are lots to choose from but I went with a Canadian one that wasn’t hugely expensive. Bowzer Box sends out a selection of treats and toys carefully selected to make you and your dog happy. You start off by selecting your dog size from small, medium, or large. You then pick a term from 1,3, or 6 months. All plans automatically renew but there is a slight discount for the longer terms. Boxes start at $29.00 a month and there is a $4.50 shipping charge also. They donate 10% of the fee to dogs in need, so you get to feel good about helping without having to do anything.
The box opens up to reveal the paper that hides all the doggie goodies. The card talks about how fun the holidays were but now it’s January and cold. The reverse has the products, websites, and a brief note about why that item is awesome for your pet.
Vermont Fleece Chew
This fuzzy beast has a rope tail and a squeaker to give lots of chewing fun. He’s also very soft and I think Archie is going to really take to him and keep it as a lovey. I’m really happy to get a toy this month.
Dogbon-$12.00
This clear flexible bone is made from synthetic rubber. It is non-toxic and can be chewed into bits. Archie hates these type of things and I’ve been trying to give it to him while I write and he’s just not interested. It does bounce though so the girls will probably play with it.
Top It Up
This is supposed to add flavour and nutrition to your dogs food. Archie almost never even feels his food hit his throat so I don’t know that we need a grinder to add more flavour. Maybe Freckles will enjoy added things to her food.
Fou-Stick Protect
This is something you can rub onto your pups paws to protect them from ice, salt, and snow. It has coconut oil and beeswax to form a barrier. We do find that Archie’s feet are sensitive, mostly because he’s a delicate flower, so this will be a good thing to try out.
Trail Blazin’ Bitz
We need more dog treats like we need another dog. I have so many just from the boxes and coupon purchases. These ones are Venison Liver flavoured and Archie is drooling on my leg in hope of getting one. They are grain free and made in Canada. All treats are a huge hit in this house and since we are watching my Mom’s dog right now too, we have three pups to divide the snacks between.
This month was a bit better for me then other ones have been. I am always left feeling just a little disappointed with this box. They send out good stuff but it really is not as good as BarkBox was. We have one more to go in this one so we’ll see if they can change my mind. I do love that they are Canadian, and source from Canada for at least some of the items and that has not changed. Three of the five items are Canadian!
