Loot Crate January 2016 Mystery Box

So I’m not too sure what I’ve got here.  I do have a subscription to Lvl Up by Loot Crate that sends out accessories based on gaming and geeks that shows it is in transit right now but a couple of days ago I received this box.  It appears to be a regular Loot Crate?  I have emailed them to see what is up but in the meantime let’s check out what came because it’s still cool, even if it’s not really what I wanted.

20160128_180304 20160128_180313

So this is what the box looked like and what I found when I opened the lid.  This was where my confusion started.  I then though this was maybe a mystery box I had ordered off a sale they had a while ago, but those were supposed to have a t-shirt in them so it couldn’t be that.  There was no info card to help me out.

20160128_180357

First out of the box were a pair of Mens socks.  My husband does enjoy a fun dress sock so I think he’ll be happy.  These are Spiderman I guess?  Marvel is not really my thing, sorry to all the fans out there!!!

20160128_180415

HexBug Micro Robotic Creature

Well this is very much not my thing I believe the kids will absolutely love it!  Anything that moves or glows or otherwise makes me crazy is the obvious favourite thing for them.  I have seen these around before so I think they are a popular thing.

20160128_180456

Heroes Of Warcraft Hearthstone  Stress Ball

Again I have no clue about what this comes from but I can most surely use a stress ball, so to work with me this goes!  Kinda cool looking.

20160128_180516

Terminator Genisys Brain Chip Keyring

Never seen the movie so again I have no clue.  However it is really heavy and would make a good weapon if you had to throw your keys at someone.  Maybe Hubs will want it.

20160128_180531

Marvel Shoelaces

Now these I like!  I know I said above I don’t really follow the whole Marvel-verse but comic shoelaces are just awesome.  Now I just need to pick the perfect pair of shoes to put them on!

20160128_180552

Game Of Thrones Stark Sigil USB Flash Drive

I am probably the only human left who doesn’t watch GoT.  I read the books and that’s enough for me, I don’t care to see it.  That being said, this is still very cool!  I will use it and I like it.

20160128_180632

Marvel Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Lanyard

This is an Authentic Replica of the ones worn onscreen.  I have never watched this show the Hubby did for a few seasons.  Do you think if I wore this at work anyone would notice it wasn’t the one I was issued?

So by now you have figured out why I don’t get this subscription.  While I enjoy a few things in it, it’s jut not my type of geek.  If they get back to me I’ll be sure to update this and let you know why I received it in the first place.

Bowzer Box January 2016

Since our BarkBox subscription ran out I decided to get just a six month plan of another one for the pups. There are lots to choose from but I went with a Canadian one that wasn’t hugely expensive. Bowzer Box sends out a selection of treats and toys carefully selected to make you and your dog happy. You start off by selecting your dog size from small, medium, or large. You then pick a term from 1,3, or 6 months. All plans automatically renew but there is a slight discount for the longer terms. Boxes start at $29.00 a month and there is a $4.50 shipping charge also. They donate 10% of the fee to dogs in need, so you get to feel good about helping without having to do anything.

20160124_161446 20160124_161456

The box opens up to reveal the paper that hides all the doggie goodies.  The card talks about how fun the holidays were but now it’s January and cold.  The reverse has the products, websites, and a brief note about why that item is awesome for your pet.

20160124_161601

Vermont Fleece Chew

This fuzzy beast has a rope tail and a squeaker to give lots of chewing fun.  He’s also very soft and I think Archie is going to really take to him and keep it as a lovey.  I’m really happy to get a toy this month.

20160124_161611

Dogbon-$12.00

This clear flexible bone is made from synthetic rubber.  It is non-toxic and can be chewed into bits.  Archie hates these type of things and I’ve been trying to give it to him while I write and he’s just not interested.  It does bounce though so the girls will probably play with it.

20160124_161532

Top It Up

This is supposed to add flavour and nutrition to your dogs food.  Archie almost never even feels his food hit his throat so I don’t know that we need a grinder to add more flavour.  Maybe Freckles will enjoy added things to her food.

20160124_161543

Fou-Stick Protect

This is something you can rub onto your pups paws to protect them from ice, salt, and snow.  It has coconut oil and beeswax to form a barrier.  We do find that Archie’s feet are sensitive, mostly because he’s a delicate flower, so this will be a good thing to try out.

20160124_161622

Trail Blazin’ Bitz

We need more dog treats like we need another dog.  I have so many just from the boxes and coupon purchases.  These ones are Venison Liver flavoured and Archie is drooling on my leg in hope of getting one.  They are grain free and made in Canada.  All treats are a huge hit in this house and since we are watching my Mom’s dog right now too, we have three pups to divide the snacks between.

This month was a bit better for me then other ones have been.  I am always left feeling just a little disappointed with this box.  They send out good stuff but it really is not as good as BarkBox was.  We have one more to go in this one so we’ll see if they can change my mind.  I do love that they are Canadian, and source from Canada for at least some of the items and that has not changed.  Three of the five items are Canadian!

Doodlebugs Busy Bags January 2016

One  subscription I’ve been getting for Bug is Doodlebugs Busy Bags.  The website describes them as….”DoodleBug Busy Bags is a monthly craft subscription for kids ages 3 – 10. DoodleBug Busy Bags keep little hands busy and little minds active. Each month your child will receive a bag of 4 – 8 curated crafts, often centered on a holiday or seasonal theme, and all the supplies your child needs to complete each activity. Once completed, the crafts may be used as learning tools, decorations, toys, or given away as gifts. DoodleBug Busy Bags are fun, easy to complete, and help develop motor skills, creativity, hand-eye coordination, and confidence.”  Bags are $23.99 including shipping and go down with longer subscriptions.  This months theme is Winter Fun.

20160119_202453

This is what you get inside of the outer mailer.  Everything you need is in this bag.

20160119_202507

The page inside gives you a picture of each completed project and gives you a little more info on what you need to do and if you need any parts that might have been just in the back instead of included in each pouch.

20160119_202614 20160119_202622

Winter Wonderland Sand Art

There were 6 options of pictures you could have received and I think the one we got is adorable.  I also think this is going to be soooooo messy!  You peel off a bit of the paper and then sprinkle the coloured sand onto the adhesive board.  I don’t even know if I am capable of doing this neatly, let alone my four year old.

20160119_202600

Silly Snowflake Magnet

This one is more our speed.  It’s very cute and will be a good addition to our collection on the fridge.

20160119_202536

Tissue Paper Snowman

We still have the tissue paper bear from out first box a year ago to do because I just don’t see Bug having the patience to complete the whole thing before becoming bored with it.  It is cute and I can’t wait until she is a bit older to make these happen.

20160119_202525

Penguin Thermometer

There is an actual thermometer included in this so you can see the temperature in your house while it is attached to your fridge.  Oh right, forgot to mention, it is also a magnet.

20160119_202548

Snowman Face Magnet

This one is crazy simple.  There are literally 5 pieces to stick on.  We will power through it though.

20160119_202633

Wooden Beaded Snowman Necklace

Bug loves getting these in here.  She has made a few of them and wears them and plays with them.  She has the beading skill down pat and so only needs my help to tie the knots in the clasp ends for her.

20160119_202645

Beaded Snowflake Ornament

We made something like this this year as decorations but didn’t use all clear beads.  This one should be pretty when done, and is another one that will require on the most basic supervision on my part.

20160119_202706

Winter Activity Sheet, Pencil, and Sharpener

These are listed in the info as Fun Extras.  Pencils are huge in this house.  I think maybe a bit of my love for stationery has been passed on to the kids.  Bug actually got a pencil in a treat bag yesterday and we’ve had to sharpen it six times already.

As noted before all of these crafts are from Oriental Trading but since I don’t have to purchase them in large quantities off the site and everything we need to create is included in the bag, I like this. If you need glue or anything else that does not come in the prepackaged craft they make sure it’s in your bag so you really do not have to run to the store. It’s also nice that each of these crafts are fairly quick and we can do them in the short time between bath and bedtime when we need to be winding down.  The next months theme is going to be Valentine’s Day but this was our last bag.  There was a handy sticker on the outer envelope letting me know though, which was nice.

Glossybox January 2016

Glossybox gives you 5 deluxe samples of beauty products a month for $21.00 plus $5.00 shipping to Canada but do get cheaper with longer terms.  The buzz on the interweb feels that Glossybox has one of the best packaging of any of the boxes.  Every month they curate a selection of high-end, niche, and trendy beauty products in deluxe travel sizes that they send out and I’ve been happy with their offerings so far.  They have been shipping to Canada for a little while now and most of the time you get the specialty boxes.

20160119_202031 20160119_202049

They take care in the presentation of the box.  It always has the ribbon and paper done nicely and underneath it is carefully protected with the squiggles.  I still hate them though.

20160119_202107 20160119_202114

The trifold card is nice as usual.  It tells you about what you received, a tip for using it, and full size retails.

20160119_202154

Beautiful Nutrition Lemon Rinse Gentle Clarifying Treatment-59mL $1.50

This is a rinse you use once a week to get rid of build up and add shine to your hair.  I have received this before a while ago and I thought it worked well so I’m okay with getting more.  I don’t use a whole lot of product in my hair ever but I can always use more shine.

20160119_202222

MeMeMe Lip Glide in Playful Peach-$12.50 Full Size

OMG I haven’t received any lipstick in forever so I’m so happy right now!  This is unfortunatley just an okay colour on me though.  It is maybe a bit too light so I think it looks funny.  I’ll have to try a liner to get this to great.  It says it will be long lasting so I’ll hold out hope for that.

20160119_202142

-417 Foot Nourishing Cream-50mL $8.00

This foot cream is made with water from the Dead Sea and aloe vera juice to heal and smooth your tired winter feet.  It is oddly light scented for a foot cream.  I find they usually are very minty scented and this one is not that at all.  I try to remember to use a foot cream everyday before bed so I will add this to my basket.

20160119_202129

Emite Make Up Diamond Heart Primer-15mL $12.28

This is an illuminating primer and that makes me happy.  I love me some primer and this one seems really nice.  It hid my pores and felt light on so I can’t wait to finish up the one I’m using and start this one.

20160119_202250

Royal Apothic Cream Creme To Go-$14.00 Full Size

There were assorted scents of this sent out and I received Cutting Garden.  It smells a bit like watermelon to me.  This lotion actually exfoliates as it moisturizes.  It seems like a good cream and since it smells nice I will be using it for sure.

This month’s box has a value of $48.20.  Two full size items this month and one half size.   This box is more expensive than the other beauty ones I get but it really is worth it for the stuff you get.  I am rarely sad after checking it out and you always get full sized products mixed in.  I have just a few months left for this one so I’m a bit sad to see it end.

Topbox January 2016

Topbox is a Canadian beauty subscription that ships you 4 samples every month.  The shipping is free, which is nice, but there is tax based upon your province.  This still makes it one of the cheapest boxes out there at $12 per month.  Topbox normally comes is a cardboard container but you can chose to receive your products in a reusable organza bag for even less waste, which is my choice.  They also offer special boxes that you can put on your wish list and you may get them or you’ll get the regular box.  I had stopped getting this one for a while because I felt they were sending out too many of the same type of samples.  I am giving them a try again because I now get almost no makeup boxes anymore and since this one is Canadian and inexpensive we’ll see how it goes this time.

20160119_201552 20160119_201612

This month they went for a grey bag, nice to see it change up.  The back of that card shows the four items you receive, a bit about them, where you can buy them, and what a full size version will cost you.

20160119_201639

Eyeko Black Magic Mascara-4mL $13.65

This is why I have issues with this subscription…….this is the third time I have received this mascara.  Now that I’m over the disappointment of a repeat item, I do like this mascara.  I do not need anymore mascara right now but it is a curling one and black, which kind of checks all the boxes I look for in a mascara.

20160119_201724

L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream-10mL $2.00

I love this brand and only ever have it when it comes in one of my boxes so this makes up for the mascara above.  This is just their basic hand cream and it is slightly scented.  In fact it almost smells a bit like baby powder.  It is 20% shea butter and made for dry skin.  Saskatchewan in January equals dry skin so yay!!!

20160119_201713 20160119_201627

Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Smoothing Primer For Large Pore & Fine Lines-5mL $7.17

Okay longest product title ever.  I love primer, it’s become something I can’t live without so that’s good.  They also included a card letting you know you can get a free sample of the foundation to match from Sephora right now.  This primer has just a hint of a tint, which is good too.  Love it!

20160119_201702

Shu Uemura POREraser Underbase Mousse-20g $18.40

This is also a kinda primer item.  It really is a mousse and it’s going to take me a few tries to figure it out since it blobbed out on me.  It does give an illusion of porelessness(which I don’t believe is a word but is working for me) and evened out some skin tone issues too.

This month’s box has a value of $41.22.  This is why I had stopped getting this box last time.  I was getting so many doubles and similar items from month to month that I was annoyed.  The only good thing is that since they only do month to month subscriptions I can cancel this without any hassle if it keeps up.  As I mentioned above I like that it’s a Canadian box and that it’s really reasonably priced but it is not always varied.   If you are interested in getting your own Topbox send me a message and I can give you a link or you can visit them here.

LookFantastic Beauty Box January 2016

Look Fantastic Beauty Box is a box from the UK and you will receive a minimum of six products.   Those products will be an assortment of skin, hair, cosmetic and body products.  There also are sometimes high value surprises added to a few boxes randomly.  They promise to have a much higher value than what you pay each month as well.  They have free worldwide delivery on the boxes or things you order from the website. Boxes are $28 a month but go down with 3,6 or 12 month subscriptions.  Shipping was pretty quick for overseas and I received tracking notices as well.  The stuff I’ve been getting in this box has been really nice.  This one was a find and I really enjoy it.

20160115_124557 20160115_124606

The box came inside a much bigger outer box this month.  I’m not really sure why since the actual box is the same size as it always has been.  As you can see from the mini magazine this month is all about Detox.

20160115_124629

Kebelo Clarifying Shampoo-50mL $5.86

This is the Editor’s Pick this month.  This shampoo deep cleanses to remove product buildup plus all the regular things shampoo does for you.  It recommends that you use it once or twice a month to make your hair look healthy.  One of the tips included for this item is that it doubles as a body wash so that makes it perfect for travelling.  I guess in a pinch anything goes.

20160115_124639

Kebelo Silk Conditioner-50mL $6.28

Some of you regular readers might have been wondering why I wasn’t complaining about getting just a shampoo and here’s why.  They did send out a conditioner to use along with that shampoo.  It is the same brand just an anti-frizz  formula.  These both have a nice smell that makes me want to sniff them instead of using them. Might make my showers longer…..

20160115_124734

BellaPierre Shimmer Shadow in Earth-$13.65 Full Size

This is so shiny!!!!!!  I love mineral makeup and the BellaPierre line has been great anytime I have used it.  This is not a super dark shade but it is very, very shimmery.  I like it!

20160115_124712

Dr Lancer Lancer The Method:Polish-14g $14.70

This polish is full of very fine scrubbers. It doesn’t make any crazy claims about how it will make your skin better, it just tells you that polishing your skin helps to remove dead skin cells and reveal the younger and newer skin beneath.  I find that really refreshing from the normal grandiose claims most skin care products promise.

20160115_124652

Nuxe Nuxellence Detox 15mL

I couldn’t get a price on this since the full size one doesn’t list a size on it, though it sells for $100.  I am getting a nice little collection of Nuxe products and since I have found them to be great and enjoy using them.  This is a night cream that promises you will look like you had an extra 2 hours of sleep.  If it works, I will be buying it by the tubfull because I can’t think of the last time I got enough sleep to be extra perky and rejuvenated.

20160115_124617

Darphin Azahar Cleansing Micellar Water-50mL $11.81

I have tried a few different micellar water cleansers since I began getting boxes and I can’t get used to not rinsing.  I find that they work well and my skin is clean, it’s just a habit from years of washing my face to rinse off the cleanser.

This month had a value of $52.30, plus the Nuxe product I couldn’t price out.  This month’s mix was great. The great part about LookFantastic  is that they have sales all the time and free worldwide shipping so if you want more of anything or find other things on their site it’s simple to get.  I can’t wait to see what fun they send next month and have yet to be disappointed with what I find in here.

Little Life Box January 2016

Little Life Box is a monthly shipment of items that help you to try out items so you can try out healthier or alternative versions of things you use or eat everyday.  You will get up to a dozen items each month and they promise to never ship you the same item twice, though you may get a different flavour of the same item.  They are a Canadian company as well so that’s nice too.  Subscriptions will run you  $19.95 a month or less with longer plans.  They offer a purely Vegan option as well.  I went with their original box since I don’t have a preference towards vegan items. I have found that these boxes are stuffed full!

20160113_204234

I was a bit surprised at how light the box was this month.  I picked it up and thought that maybe it had been opened and stuff fell out.  I could see that it was still packed to the top but I guess everything was light in there.  I do miss the post card they used to send.  Now the card just tells you to share your box online.

20160113_204249

This was my first look at what was under the paper.

20160113_204258

Deep River Snacks Original Salted Kettle Cooked Potato Chips-28g $0.49

I love chips and rarely get to snack on them anymore.  These ones are gluten free and kosher.  They use non-GMO ingredients and have no preservatives, trans fat, MSG, or cholesterol.  They also support various charities based on which flavour you buy.

20160113_204312

Elan Banana Chips-135g $2.99

This is the third different item from this brand I’ve received and all have been very good.  These are organic and GMO and gluten free.  I don’t eat banana chips all that often but now that they are in the house I will grab a handful when I need a snack or something crunchy.

20160113_204322

Feast Bar-40g

This is a chocolate bar with fruit and nuts.  It also magically is high in fibre and low sodium.  It has no trans fats or cholestreol and no processed sugars.  The whole bar is actually under 200 calories as well which is a bit of a surprise.  I love fruit and nut bars and so I am hiding this until I can find some alone time to scarf it down.

20160113_204340

Neolia Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Lotion-10mL $0.15 x 3

I am very happy that they included shampoo and conditioner.  I don’t even care that the samples are packets, being able to try both at once is just so much better then only getting the shampoo.  They all are made from olive oil and are organic.

20160113_204352

BioCell Collagen Capsules-2pk $0.67 x 2

These are joint and skin health pills that help you to maintain healthy skin.  They also help with osteoarthritis pain.  I don’t have that yet but a little added collagen in my joints will not be a bad thing.

20160113_204531

Wild Hibiscus Flower Co. Tea-$0.35 x 2

I received Heart-tee and Blue-tee and they seem interesting.  The blue one has instructions on how to have it including how to make it change colour for you. They are herbal teas made with hibiscus and butterfly pea flower.  I love a good cup of tea and have at least one a day so I’m never sad to see more in a box.

20160113_204542

Three Farmers Roasted Chickpeas-25g $1.04

These are BBQ flavour and while I do eat chickpeas normally I have found that these roasted ones are delicious.  I have not have the BBQ flavour but I expect them to be a great snack to get me through a day when I want chips or something else crunchy.  These are nut and gluten free and higher in protein and fibre.

20160113_204551

Montagne Jeunesse Anti Stress Sauna Masque-15g $1.99

This face mask is self heating to open and cleanse your pores.  It has red clay and plant extracts.  It is also vegetarian approved, though I’m not too sure what that means.  I’ll add it to my pile of masks and use it up when it becomes it’s turn.

20160113_204558

Organic India Tulsi Tea-18 bags $14.03

Yay! More tea!  I don’t think I’ve ever had holy basil tea before but peppermint tea is a favourite.  This tea is organic and like almost all herbal teas, caffeine free. This brand is sustainably farmed by small farmers, which is always nice to see.

20160113_204607 20160113_204629

Radius Floss Sachets-20pk $2.99 x 2

The ones I got were the organic silk variety but the pamphlet also shows mint and cranberry ones too.  These are made of spun candelilla plant wax.  I have no clue……  They are free from sweeteners, preservatives, artificial colours and flavours, synthetic wax, gluten, yeast, parabens, phthalates, BPA, GMO and additives.  To make them even more hippy the box is recycled cardboard and paper and totally recyclable and biodegradable.

20160113_204616

Viva Bath-2g

This bath powder helps to return your bathwater to a neutral ph so that you don’t absorb the chemicals added to your tap water that make it safe for consumption but harsh on your skin.  It also is supposed to help reduce stress and skin conditions.  I’ll add it to my bath next time but since it says you should not use any other soaps or cleansers while you are using it that sorta defeats the purpose of a bath.

This month’s  box had 16 samples in it.  The site is back up to normal with pricing or links to where to buy items so I was able to work out that the value is $29.01, which a bit low but not too horrible. I like this box and have found a bunch of things I would never have bought that either work really well or taste good.  I tended to dismiss most products like this out of hand as not good or too tree huggerish so I’m pleasantly surprised with the items.  I think this will be my last box from them and while I’m not going to renew this subscription I did enjoy it and was really surprised how many of the items I used and liked.

Rag Tag Box January 2016

Rag Tag Box is a monthly craft and ephemera box.  They include all sorts of things and a cross stitch project each month based on a theme that could be fun, scary, sci-fi, or movie related.  They offer a few different options including paper crafts, stitchy mini, or full size and prices start at  $15.00.  They also have a shop online where you can buy projects or downloadable projects.  I went for the full sized box.  The theme for December was Comics.

20160112_155416 20160112_155428

Opening up my pizza box revealed a return to the product card and then under the paper a whole bunch of loot!  That first look made the theme perfectly clear, just incase you might have been uncertain of what comics would entail.

20160112_155543

First up this month we have a couple of paper straws and a gel pen.  I am so fascinated by paper straws! I have received a few now and won’t let anyone use them.

20160112_155737

In the little ephemera inclusions we have 5′ of blue and white twine, 2 paper clips, a Wonder Woman fabric pin, and 2 pom poms. Most of these were tucked into the green bag.

20160112_155530

Always useful, Marvel Avengers tissue pack and 6 comic word stickers.

20160112_155552

This is a pack of playing cards.  I don’t think anyone needs more playing cards, I’m sure mine multiply in the games cupboard but these ones are cute and maybe need to live in my bag for those moments of boredom that appear out of nowhere and catch me without a book.

20160112_155610

There was a mini green highlighter, which I love, and a roll of washi tape.

20160112_155629

There were three mini note cards and that orange square behind is an envelope. They are all blank inside.

20160112_155654

In the box we continued to find three To Do lists, a paper doily, and a sheet of sticker dots.

20160112_155719

The little card calls these small sheets of craft paper.  They do qualify as that but I really want to find another use for them.  All of mine were Spiderman but I am not sure if that is constant for everyone.

20160112_155436 20160112_155445

Last and certainly not least is the cross-stitch kit that was, for me, the reason I got the box.  This month is another smaller one, which is good since I might get them done if they only take me a few hours each.  As always, they include everything but scissors.  This one is very fun and I like it!

There is no way I could value this box but I am pretty sure I’m going to love it!  I had been looking for something crafty for myself since Embellished Boxes seem to have imploded and this is it.  If you are thinking this may be something you’d like next month’s theme is Sugar Skulls. So…..January Has Been Slow

Hello everyone!  I hope you’ve all recovered from the holidays and that you got to spend some time with people who mean something to you.  I was going to say family but then I realised that for some, family is not who we would choose to hang out with voluntarily.  We had family from both sides down for a few days and it was great!  The girls had a blast and even though we are back to regular life again Bug is still asking when we can put the Christmas tree back up.  She also asks when Winter will be over and is not to happy when I say about 100 sleeps.  Yesterday Bug had to go to the hospital for an ABR with anesthetic.  If you don’t know that is an Automatic Brain Response test.  She had been tested for her hearing since birth, as is standard now, and has always just missed passing those tests.  SInce I have hearing loss as well they decided to do this test just to rule out any serious issues.  The scary part of course is that she has to be put under for the test to be done.  We have been very lucky in that both of our girls have had no serious medical issues so this was the first big thing we’ve had to go to the hospital for.  Thankfully everything  went well and the tests were normal so Bug is back at school today and probably telling everyone that she got 2 popsicles and a ride in a bed with wheels!  I asked her if there was any part of the day that was bad, considering we were there for 8.5 hours, and she said no, it was all fun and good.  I think that says a lot about the nurses and doctors that we interacted with and even those that were just walking by but gave her a wave or a quick chat.  I know there are times when our medical system doesn’t work smoothly or the wait times can be long but I have yet to leave the hospital after something for myself and now the kids without being grateful to the staff and the system.

In box news, there has been none.  As you might have noticed from the lack of posts.  I have received three boxes so far this month and that leaves 12 to arrive.  Hopefully this week I will get LookFantastic, Little Life Box, and Topbox. I do have a couple of new boxes I signed up for to come but since I’ve never received them before I don’t know if they are a middle of the month one or closer to the end.  I’m starting to get amil withdrawal!  Having done a bunch of my Christmas shopping online, not getting something everyday in December has spoiled me for mail delivery.  I’m sure my mailman is happier without the load but I’m really hoping for something soon!

Take Care All!!

Good Luck Sock December 2015

Good Luck Sock is a Canadian company sending out a variety of different sock styles and types.  They have an online shop, a few different monthly options and did I mention they are Canadian?  The sock of the month club offers you one pair of funky socks makes it to your mailbox each month.  You can order a 6 or 12 month plan or opt for the Bakers Dozen, which is the 12 month plus a welcome pair of socks.  Plans start at $72.00 and shipping is free.  The style of sock you will get each month is random but they do promise not to send you out the same pair twice.  They offer a men’s or a ladies option and you can also send these as a gift to someone.

There is nothing else in the mailer bag besides the socks do if these have a name I don’t know it.  I can tell you that they have adorable smiling crabs and stars on them and they are very bright and fun.  They also have the company name on the sole so you know which socks are theirs.

This is the second sock subscription I have and I do like it.  Shipping for me is super quick since they are only a 6 hour drive away.  I love supporting Canadian boxes and think it’s awesome that they are able to provide products on par with the Americans.
