Luxe Box is a quarterly box that sends out 7-8 trial sized beauty and lifestyle discoveries every season. It is a Canadian box which is nice and shipping is included in the pricing. Each box is $26 or you can sign up for a year for $96, so a slight discount. They also had a few upgrade options if you wanted but I stuck with the standard box.
I opted out of the cardboard box this month so my stuff came just in the bag in a mailer envelope. I just end up recycling the box anyways so it isn’t a big deal to me.
The last few boxes have included a little info card instead of the personal dashboard you used to have to access for your product info. It’s a change I like.
Ofra Universal Eyebrow Pencil-$13.00 Full Size
I’m not too sure how they can call this a universal colour. It is a little on the darker side and I have fair brows so this is really visible when I tried it out. I have had a fair bit of luck with brow pencils from boxes and this one is usable but it’s not the best shade for me. However it is full sized, which is always nice to get.
So Susan Rose Quartet Lip & Cheek Stain-$12.00 Full Size
I received almost the exact same thing a bit ago in a different box. I have no idea how they can say this is a cheek stain as well since none of these shades would look good as a blush at all. They are okay as lip colours though. I prefer to not get lip palettes but that is just me.
Eyeko Hydrogel Eye Patch-$4.50
I have also received these before but I really like them so I’m good with it. However these are actually expired so that’s sad. I’m not sure that it really matters that they are and to be fair they only expired last month. It’s not hugely professional though to send out expired product.
OSIS+ Session Label Dust It Flex Fragranced Mattifying Powder-$25.00
I hate item that have such ridiculously long names. Surely there was a better (read shorter) title. This is a dust that you sprinkle on you hair to give it volume and texture. Once you have those under control you can have longer lasting styles and better hold. This is not something I have ever used but I could see the benefits if I needed an updo or something a bit more special.
Delectable Ultra Nourishing Hand Cream-$7.00
I’m not sure if there are other scents but I received Coconut & Cream and it smells like those coloured marshmallow cookies, the ones with a cookie base and dollops of marshmallow covered in dyed coconut. It made my hands feel nice and not greasy. I think that using it all the time might make me a bit sick from the smell but in little amounts it’s good.
Pur-lisse Pur-delicate Gentle Soy Milk Cleanser & Makeup Remover-30mL $6.55
This is another repeat product. I like that it is an all in one cleanser. It does not lather but rather is a cream you rub on and rinse off. It’s not real exciting but useful and practical so it’s hard to complain a bunch.
Ciate London Nail Lacquer in Couture Noir-$15.00
OOOOOOHHHH, this looks fun! I has no colour to it, just black and silver sparkles. I like that they are long strands instead of the usual round glitter. I also like that it has a bow. Completely unrelated to the ability of the polish but it suckered me in.
This month had a value of $83.05, which is huge. However since they were taken over by Topbox there has been a lot of repeats of stuff from them and they seem to push the limited edition boxes more than the regular box. This is my last box from them provided I can get hold of them to cancel. You have to call and every time I do I go straight onto hold and then after a bit a message comes on telling me their office hours and that they are now closed. Which is BS.
