Little Life Box is a monthly shipment of items that help you to try out items so you can try out healthier or alternative versions of things you use or eat everyday. You will get up to a dozen items each month and they promise to never ship you the same item twice, though you may get a different flavour of the same item. They are a Canadian company as well so that’s nice too. Subscriptions will run you $19.95 a month or less with longer plans. They offer a purely Vegan option as well. I went with their original box since I don’t have a preference towards vegan items. I have found that these boxes are stuffed full!
These boxes always come with a seasonal postcard and tissue paper. It’s sp pretty and if you’re careful you can reuse the paper.
Deep River Snacks Rosemary & Olive Oil Kettle Cooked Potato Chips-28g $0.44
I love chips. I sometimes just need that hit of pure salty goodness. Kettle chips have that extra crunch to make them even more satisfying. These won’t last long.
Mrs.Crimble’s Chocolate Coated Rice Cakes-96g $4.92
We had the yogurt coated ones before and those were really good so I have high hopes for these. The kids really like them and so do I so it becomes a battle to eat them.
Steripod Toothbrush Sanitizer-$3.50
This is so cool!!! You put your toothbrush inside this clippy thing and it has a compound in it that keeps your toothbrush clean and fresh. Each one lasts for three months.
Level Ground Black Tea-$6.00
I rarely drink black tea but my hubby enjoys it so this will get used. I like that it’s loose leaf instead of bags, makes for a nice change. Also included were a recipe and discount code and a little booklet about the company and all their products.
Amazing Grass Raw Reserve Green Superfood-2x8g $2.00 each
This powder can be mixed with water, juice or thrown in a smoothie. It contains all sorts of sea grasses and cereal grasses. I’m thinking I might not like this very much but I’ll give it a go. I’ve been surprised by superfood powders before.
Hemp Pro 70 Protein Powder in Chocolate and Vanilla-15g $0.50 each
These are another powder to blend into your smoothies. They also give you a quick method on the back to just add them to 1-1/2 cups of your favorite dairy-like beverage, shake, and go. I think that might be how I’ll go with them. I hope they are not too chalky textured.
Goddess Garden Organics Sport and Sunny Body Sunscreens-$0.88 & $4.41
I have received multiple versions and bottles of this sunscreen and have used them all up this summer. I like this sunscreen and I like using it on the kids too. It is a natural sunscreen and it has worked really well. I will happily get more of this until September comes.
PureFit Granola Crunch Bar-$3.11 & Annie’s Organic Chocolate Chip Granola Bar-$0.88
These will get eaten in short order and I have yet to get one that I don’t like. I find you can’t even tell that these ones are healthier than the regular ones. They taste great and if they are better for you than the others that’s just a bonus.
Ester-C Energy Boost Packets in Sweet Wildberry-$19.49
These are a multi vitamin and mineral supplement drink mix. I always need things to make my water at work taste better so that’s where these are headed off too. It’s just a bonus that they are actually doing me some good.
Mineral Matrix Pure Dehydrated Goat Whey-$1.61×2
This sounds so gross I can’t even…….
You mix this into hot water, hot milk or juice. It is made to provide a high content of minerals which your body recognises and absorbs easily. It’s basically just dehydrated cheese and ugh…..
July’s box had 15 samples in it. That of course counts each packet as one. The value was $51.85 which is good but most of that was the drink mix. I like this box and have found a bunch of things I would never have bought that either work really well or taste good. I tended to dismiss most products like this out of hand as not good or too tree huggerish so I’m pleasantly surprised with the items.
