Bark Box March 2015

Archie’s favorite delivery came the other day and he was all over the box when I brought it into the house.  BarkBox is a toy and treat box just for pups. Prices start at $29 per month but go down to $18 if you choose a yearly plan. Shipping to Canada is $5/month.  Along with the products part of your subscription cost is donated to dogs in need, so along with fun stuff for your pooch you are also helping out dogs that might not be as pampered as yours. You can select from tiny, small & cute, just right, and big & bold sizes to get a selection of products best suited to your dog. The theme this month is Movie Night!

I was surprised by the decidedly phallic item first thing but the rest looked fun.

As always the cartoons are the best.  On the back of the card are the products and the codes to reorder from the store if you want.

Hyper Pet Dura-Squeaks-$16.00

This green monster is a non-toxic durable squeak toy.  It doesn’t seem to matter where you squeeze it it squeaks.  It also floats but we’ll never test that out since Archie hates water….

Healthy Dogma Bacon Hearts-$8.00

Beyond the bacon part these are entirely made of vegetables.  Archie has eaten tin cans before so that won’t matter but at least I can feel better about giving him something healthy.

Nature’s Bits Salmon Recipe-$8.00

These treats are grain and gluten free.  They also have strawberries and sweet potatoes with the salmon.  They are softer then a regular biscuit but I still wouldn’t say they are soft soft.  They do have a cute paw print on the top though.

Pet Qwerks Pawpcorn-$10.00

This is another squeaker.  This one will have a much shorter life then the other.  I’m glad for the new one each month because Archie has a kill instinct for stuffed toys.

Yeti Corp Golden Nugget-$8.00

These are actually microwave treats for the dog.  You nuke them for 45 seconds and then let them cool a bit and give them to your pup.  They puff up about double size.  The are made from yak and cow milk, salt and lime juice.  It sounds so odd but it’s nice that the list of ingredients is so small.

This was back to being a good box this month for Archie.  The issues I had last month with the stuff seeming like it was for a smaller dog are not there this time.  Two toys and three treats is a good balance for us.  Also the treats are sized well for both of our dogs.
