Little Life Box March 2015

Little Life Box is a monthly shipment of items that help you to try out items so you can try out healthier or alternative versions of things you use or eat everyday.  You will get up to a dozen items each month and they promise to never ship you the same item twice, though you may get a different flavour of the same item.  They are a Canadian company as well so that’s nice too.  Subscriptions will run you  $19.95 a month or less with longer plans.  They offer a purely Vegan option as well.  I went with their original box since I don’t have a preference towards vegan items. I have found that these boxes are stuffed full!

It looks so pretty when you open it up!  The wrapping paper is nice and the post card is so very spring.

Underneath is that full box I mentioned.  It really is right to the top.

Beanfields Nacho Chips-43g

The last bean snack I received from a box was really not that tasty so I’m hoping these will be better.  I like chips so I want to like these.  They are vegan and gluten free and also contain fibre and protein.

Cocobacon By Coconut Organics-42g $3.00

This is bacon flavoured coconut pieces.  They are very sweet and don’t smell very good.  The taste is a little off putting because you first get coconut then an odd smokey aftertaste.  These can be sprinkled on salads or eaten right from the bag.  I am not really fond of them alone so maybe mixed into something they would be better.  These are also vegan and gluten free and listed as a source of healthy fats.

Adult Multi by Orange Naturals-60 Capsules $21.99

This company has been in a lot of boxes lately.  I’m not going to complain though because they have all been full size samples and these things are expensive!  This bottle alone is worth more then I paid for the whole box.  This is a one month supply and they are a powder filled capsule.  I tend to buy whichever multi I have a coupon for so I’ll put these away till my current bottle is empty and then give them a go.

Choc Macaroon by Mrs.Crimble’s-$0.54

These are billed as Britain’s best selling macaroon.  They are gluten free and look delicious!  I like plain macaroons so the fact that this one comes with a chocolate drizzle just makes it better.  Cannot wait to eat this.

Organic Bath Balms by Abio in Rose Aroma-$3.99

These bath bombs are handmade in Quebec.  They use shea butter and essential oils.  I have finally been able to get some evenings back from the kids so I plan to use this in one of my next baths.  I like that I can see actual rose petals in it as well.  Feels so fancy!

Beauty Essentials by A.Vogel-60 tablets $19.99

This supplement has zinc,  millet, stinging nettle and brewer’s yeast in it to help form collagen and maintain healthy skin.  It is also supposed to help your hair and nails.  I so need all of this.  My nails are brittle all the time and my hair is less thick since my pregnancy is long gone.  I’m a little weirded out by the yeast component but this is going into my vitamin/herb rotation right now.

Sodium Free Herbamare-10g $0.40

This is a natural salt substitute infused with herbs and vegetables.  They chop it up and dry it and then you use it like you would any salt but it has more flavour.  It doesn’t seem to have a ton of flavour but it did give me that salty taste it’s meant to replace.  I am not a big salt user anyways but I think this will be a good switch.

Hydra-Agereief Soap by Neolia-$1.99

This particular bar is made for mature skin but I’m sure it won’t matter too much if I use it on mine.  It’s full of many ingredients, each with their own anti-aging properties.  It is paraben-free, biodegradable, hypoallergenic and gentle.  It smells okay also.  I have a fair bit of soap right now so this may not get used right away so I may have a need for a mature skin product by the time I get to it!

MaxEffects Naturals 2in1 Eye and Face Makeup Remover-5mL $0.25

This is a one step no rinse remover.  It is pH balanced and you just need to put it onto a cotton ball and wipe away.  It has natural plant extracts and is made in Canada, which is awesome.  I use a separate eye makeup remover and then a cleanser right now so this will cut down on my evening routine by a few minutes.

Kelp & Seaweed Mud Pac-6g $1.00

I like masks and I like appearing around corners wearing them and startling my Hubby.  This one is made to give you ultra deep pore cleansing.  I’ve used a few of this brands other masks before so I know I like them.  This is a trial size packet so there will only be one use, where as the regular pouch gives at least two.

I’m not sure where my photos went but also in the box were a MadeGood Chocolate Chip Organic Granola Bar-$1.00 and Lalma Tea Bags 4 assorted $2.26.  Both of these things are great since I eat and drink tea all the time.

The value of this box was $56.41 and I received 12 individual samples.   I think if you are looking for a wellness box that this one is a great price and even for someone like me who is just starting to make an effort to be a little healthier and lose some weight it’s helpful and not basing their products on you having a fully developed knowledge of healthy options. This month was even better then last so I’m stoked.  If you want to check them out click here.
