WelliBox is a Canadian box focusing on healthy options.  It sends you 5-10 samples per month and you can choose your category from womens, mens, 50+, or performance.  Boxes are $10 per month, less with longer plans,  and you are promised $25 worth of products.  Since I’m trying to get healthier and lose some weight I thought it would be a good idea to get a box that might help me out.

 

Again this month there was no info card or anything to identify what I was going to find. However there was a letter from the supplier of a few of the products and sheets with some info on those items.

CanPrev Magnesium Bis-Glycinate 200

According to the enclosed sheets, magnesium helps with everything from energy production to nervous system health.  This particular blend is also gentle on the bowel and has superior absorption.  You take one a day and there are 90 capsules in the bottle. I’m actually really interested to try these out as my energy is flagging of late and my hormones and nervous system can always use some help.

Garden of Life Raw Protein Mangolicious Sample

I received a vanilla flavoured sample in a different box last month and I have been drinking quite a few smoothies lately so this will be a welcome addition.  They also included a pamphlet detailing all the benefits and recipes to use your protein powder.  This one is vegan, gluten, dairy, and gmo free and organic.  It apparently also has the fiber content of an orange.

Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts Natural Samples X 2

I don’t know what to do with these.  This is another product I received in a different box and they are still sitting in my cupboard.  You can eat these right out of the package or sprinkle them on salads or yogurt.  I think mixing into yogurt like granola might be my best option since it’s the closest to how I normally eat anyways.  They also gave a coupon to get a discount of  a regular bag, but I’ll have to make an effort to look for them since my standard shopping trips have never taken me past them.

Orange Naturals D3 Drops

I take a vitamin d pill each day but this is the same product in drop form.  This bottle contains 450 doses!  Vitamin D is good for bone and teeth health and also good for your joints.

Biocore Food Sciences Burlap Bag

All of last months supplements were made by Biocore foods so I guess that’s why we got a bag this month.  I guess you could use this as a grocery bag but it is very scratchy and sheds as burlap is prone to do.

Also included was a Naturopathic Notes magazine put out by the same company as the samples.  I read anything so this may give me some new ideas.

This box is always a surprise and I think I like this month better then last.  These products are just closer to my comfort level and the fact that the parent company included info makes it feel more professional.  The bag is my least favorite item and may just get tossed in my truck just in case I ever need to give someone something and I could make it easier to carry.
