e.l.f. Beauty Bundle is a makeup box that ships every 8 weeks. They ship out a variety of makeup and brushes from their own lines. They have an assortment of products based on a central theme for that box. This months bundle was New Year Bundle. The box starts at $19.99 every other month and promises to ship at least double that in the value of products. It ships in a black box with their logo on it and looks good. All products are full sized as well. This month they sent out an email saying that due to the crazy weather boxes were a little delayed and just to keep their customers happy they were including items to up the box value.
As usual the products came in a drawstring bag. For some reason there was not an info card included.
e.l.f studio Makeup Artist Brush Belt-$15.00
This is the extra product to make up for the late shipping. I’d rather have just got more makeup. I will never use this as it’s intended but maybe I can find a different use.
Mineral Eye Brightener in Buff-$2.40
This can be used as both a highlighter or an eyeshadow base. It has no shimmer at all but is a perfect match to my skin tone.
Essential Nail Polish in Nude-$2.00
This is a 3 free polish. The name of the color describes it perfectly, it’s a light buff color that is just slightly pink.
Zit Zapper Acne Treatment-$1.00
This contains a blend of salicylic acid, tea tree, witch hazel and camphor to help clear up zits. It is a roll on applicator which is different from the type I normally use but I use it often enough that more is a welcome addition.
Pressed Mineral Blush in Wanderlust-$5.00
If I use a gentle touch I can wear this blush. It’s a nice color but a bit too dark for me. This makes me sad because I have received so few blushes from my boxes and this one is a mineral one to boot. Maybe the eighties cheeks will come back into style and then I can just go for it.
Mineral Lip Tint in Rose-$2.40
This is another disappointment for me. The color is just not working. I like the feel of it on and the formula and that it is mineral but the color is so bad.
Matte Lip Color in Natural-$3.00
Oh good a color I can use! There seems to be a running theme of natural and nude shades with this box. As with most matte lip products this one feels a little dry on but it applies really smooth and as I mentioned the color is nice.
Contour Brush-$3.00
They have already sent me a pretty complete set of brushes in a previous box but I’m always glad for more. The brushes are good quality for the price and because of their price I have no qualms about tossing them when they get older instead of washing them.
Pout Perfector-$3.00
You are supposed to use this just on the center of your bottom lip to create a glow. I like it spread all over as a lip gloss. It’s so sparkly that I shouldn’t be able to wear it alone but I think it’s great!
Eye Widener in White-$1.00
I do not have a white liner so this is good. It is supposed to make your eyes look wider buy reflecting the light. I tend to just put a dot of light eyeshadow in the corners to do the same thing. I love that their liners come with a sharpener in the lid!
Retractable Kabuki Brush-$5.00
This is perfect for throwing in my bag for powder touchups. The base has a collar that slides up and down to cover the brush before you put the lid on so no bristles get bent.
Mineral Eyeliner in Black-$3.00
Not much you can say about black eyeliner. I like that it is mineral, it glides nice, and everyone has 52 black pencils.
This months bundle was pretty good. While a couple of the colors are not right for me, that’s just the chance that you take when you get one of these boxes. The value of the box is $45.80. I have had no more shipping issues with them since the first box and like that the boxes are seasonally themed. I also like that the product is so reasonably priced if I want more.
