One of my last remaining December boxes showed up today. Dive Bar Shirt Club is a monthly subscription that sends out a limited edition t-shirt from a random bar every month. Each shirt is only available for that month and then that’s it. Their tag line is “T-shirts from the best bars you’ve never heard of”. Shirts are $22 a month unless you need XXL or XXXL sizes then add $2.50 and $3.50 respectively. Shipping outside of the USA is $5. They are just a reoccurring subscription so you can cancel anytime before the next payment is due. This months bar definitely looks more like a dive then some of the others that we’ve been given a glimpse of.
This month we are learning a bit about MVP Happy Holler in Newton, IL. It seems to have been patched together with bits of leftovers and tape. It does boast the original stage from Farm Aid 1985, which is kind of cool but if I was driving around in need of a drink I wouldn’t stop here. It’s that creepy to me.
This is the first shirt we’ve received that has printing front and back. A smoking pig is a good mascot for a bar I think. Hubby really likes the shirt and unlike last months which was a different material, this is back to the same as the others we’ve received.
Another winner for Hubby and an interesting story even if I never plan to visit. If you want to sign up you can visit their website www.divebarshirtclub.com
