Beauty Box 5 December 2014

Well it’s now the last day of the month and unless my mailman is laden down with parcels today I am still short five December boxes. However I did get another one yesterday so let’s talk about that.

Beauty Box 5 is a subscription box that sends out 5 products or samples every month. They might be makeup, beauty accessories, hair, skincare, fragrance, body, or nail products. It is another of the cheaper ones at $12 a month or even less if you sign up for a longer term. They do charge $3 a month to ship to Canada. After last months lackluster pickings from them I had hopes it could only go up.

This month theme is Happy Spa-lidays and the included items are supposed to help provide a few indulgences to help lift your spirits.

20141230_155740 20141230_155746

The back of the card details the products and the first look under it seemed like it might be good. Fingers crossed.

Body Drench Lip Drench Lip Balm in Pomegranate-$4.99 Full Size

One can never really have too many lip balms and this time of year I’m applying them every 5 minutes.  This one smells good and gives just the slightest hint of color.  Way better then those flosser picks from last month.

Absolute! New York Nail Polish Remover Pads in Spring Fresh-$2.99 Full Size

Another useful and needed item, way to go BB5!  I think these will be great even if it might take a few to get all the polish off instead of the one it says can do ten nails.

Update-I take it back, there was more then enough remover to do all ten nails with one pad. I even had a dark polish on that needed to be removed and it got it all.  It smells sooo much better then regular polish remover as well. My only complaint is that it is super oily feeling and I had to wash my hands after because the oil was everywhere on them.

Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Moisturizer-7.8mL $9.94

I just got the peel from this brand in one of my other boxes so this came just at the right time so I can use them together.  This one is supposed to help combat sun damage too which is good since I didn’t wear a lot of sunscreen when I was younger and while I’m not showing signs of it yet I’m guessing there is some stuff to fix because of it.

Nanacoco Nail Polish in Stardust-$3.95 Full Size

Oooohhhh…..sparkly! I really do think glitter polishes are my favorite.  I have a gold polish on right now and put a few swipes of this bronze glitter over top and it looks fantastic!  I know it doesn’t matter with how the polish works but I also like that the bottle is triangular.  Just a fun change from the normal square or round.

Lucky Brand Lucky Number 6 EDP Sample

This scent is supposed to attract money, so I’m all for it! It smells okay but I won’t be rushing out to purchase a bottle unless I happen to come into some cash in the next few days after wearing it.  It says it’s a blend of lotus, tiger lily, cashmere woods and jasmine.

All told this month was waaaay better then last.  The value of this box is $21.87 plus whatever the perfume sample would be.  Still just about double what I paid for the box.  I’m going to be using every single thing from this box which means it was a good box for me.

Have a safe and happy New Years!

FabFitFun Winter 2014

FabFitFun is a quarterly subscription box that brings together fashion finds, beauty secrets, and fitness gear put together by the FabFitFun team.  It is $49.99 a quarter but there are always deals to be had so the price of the box can be lower or you can get extra free products depending on when you sign up. They guarantee a value of at least $100 in every box, but I’ve yet to see anything that low.  This is only the third box that has been available for Canadian shipping from them I believe.  There are always a few spoilers out on this box each time so if you want a complete surprise this might not be the best option unless you have supreme willpower to avoid peeking at them.

20141229_142503 20141229_142522

The box is well packed so nothing moves about or gets damaged and the info card is HUGE!  It comes as a tri-fold and lists all the products with values and the total cost of the box (which is super high this time btw).

Once I peeled back the tissue paper I found that I could still see nothing really beyond Zumba and a gift card.

Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel Sensitive-$39

I’m not sure why beyond the name, but I really thought this would smell good.  It doesn’t.  This was one of the early spoilers put out so we all knew it was coming.  This is supposed to exfoliate and refine skin to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, plus lighten hyperpigmentaion.  Even using twice weekly as recommended this will last a long time and if it works will be a good addition to my cleansing routine.

Half United Fighting Hunger Necklace-$34

This was another item that we knew was coming as they sent an email asking what color you wanted.  I chose the silver and while I like the message they have of giving seven meals for each necklace I am struggling to think of a place or outfit to wear this with.  I don’t have a problem with it being a shell casing I just rarely wear necklaces in everyday life and when I do it’s a more formal reason that a shell might not really fit into.  I’ll have to think about this one.

Zumba 60-min DVD “Max” and Gift Card-$55

I have taken a few Zumba classes and I enjoyed them.  It seems more like dance then work to me so I think that might be the reason.  They also sent out an email for those of us in Canada to give a different card number since the included ones are only good in the US and a code for free shipping as well so we can get the same value as our neighbors down south.  That is awesome!  I haven’t had a chance to check it out yet but am sure I can find something to order.

Passport To Beauty Tibetan Goji Berry Intense Anti-Aging Eye Serum With Retinol-$88

Well that is the longest product name ever and wow is this an expensive product.  There is just 15mL of product (by weight) in this bottle.  This is why I love getting these boxes as there is no way ever that I would spend that kind of money on an eye cream.  However I plan to use this everyday until there is nothing left in the hopes it works and reduces any lines near my eyes.

Daniel Stone COCO Candle-$42.00

I don’t know if there were scent variations of this or not but mine is Kai Gardenia scent.  It smells so good!  They are made from coconut wax, which is environmentally sustainable, which I’m guessing is the reason behind the price tag.

yourMinerals Eye Shadow Duo-$44.00

This was another item you could choose your colors for. Everyone received the Swedish Winter (white) one and you could pick between three others or choose surprise me, which is what I did.  To round out my pair I received Lavender Dream.  Both of these are good colors for me and I will get plenty of use from them.

Salted Membership-$29.97

This card gives you a three month membership to Salted online cooking classes. I am a great cook if I can read it out of a cookbook so maybe this can teach me to be one of those people who can just “throw things together” and make a masterpiece. Maybe.

Lather AHA Hand Creme With Evening Primrose-$30

The only thing I know about evening primrose is that if you are pregnant and want your baby out you can start taking it or putting the capsules into your lady parts to encourage that to happen.  I guess now I know it’s good for helping your hands too.  This smells a bit medicinal but leaves my hands not greasy.

Fashion Project Gift Card-$30

This was another gift card that the FabFitFun team sent out a few more instructions for, for us up north.  We do not qualify for the free shipping but can get it for $8.  I haven’t had time to check them out either but I usually have no problem finding stuff to buy online.

Organic Valley Organic Balance Milk Protein Shake-$2.99

This is the first of three sponsored items in the box.  I have no problem with getting sponsored items if it helps me to get more other stuff and I haven’t tried most of the things anyways, so it’s a win-win.  This is a breakfast-type shake so we’ll give it a go in the morning after chilling.

Justin’s Classic Almond Butter-$0.63

This may be odd but I’ve never had any kind of nut butter that was not peanut.  I love me some almonds so I can;t wait to try this.

Special K Snack Bar-$0.43

I’ve had these before and they are really good. Like eat the whole box of them good.  Yum!!

The Winter box has a value of $383.59. Even with me having to pay another $8.00 for shipping on the one gift card, this is still a fantastic box.  I don’t think there is anything in here I won’t use once I find a reason for that necklace.  I think they have done a great job with finding items that fit the FabFitFun theme and can’t wait to do some shopping and get extra products from this box.  If you sign up in the next few days they are running a crazy promo where you can get this box for 50% by using code OMG at checkout.  That’s $400 worth of products for $25.00.  Get it while you can.

I’d love it if you’d use my link to get yours!

Lip Monthly December 2014

I was starting to get a bit worried about when I was going to get my remaining December boxes. I know the holidays have messed up a few deliveries but as of this morning I still had 8! boxes that needed to arrive.  Thankfully I got two today so far so I can get a few posts out here for you.

Lip Monthly is a monthly subscription box that sends out a selection of lip products plus one monthly mixup product, that can be any non lip product.  You also get your selections in a reusable makeup bag.  Lip Monthly is $10.00 a month, with reduced rates for 4 month or annual plans.  You also can accumulate points that can be redeemed in their shop.  Shipping to Canada is an additional $5 a month but this is still a really affordable subscription.  I am always surprised when I get this one as it comes in a plain white bubble mailer, and I never know what is in there till I read the label.

This months bag is appropriately wintery looking. I have yet to run out of things I need makeup bags for so still happy to receive them from two different subscriptions.

20141229_141900 20141229_141929

The info card for this month.  They let us know that there are only four items this month but all are full size and the value of the bag is good, and that they are going to go this route for a while. I’m not sure if this means there will be no more mixup products or not but full size is always super.

Magnolia Makeup Matte Lip Color in Matador-$15.00

I was expecting something different when I opened this.  It is more like a stain then a lip gloss in texture but it goes on really well and dried to a matte finish almost instantly. The color is a bit dark for me since I rarely go out but this would work well for a special occasion.

Milani Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss in Bare Secret-$4.99

I like this one.  The color is a great natural beige and it is only slightly sticky after application.  This is a much better choice for me for everyday.

L.A. Girl Endless Semi-Permanent Auto Lipliner in Wine-$5.00

I like that they always give you a lip liner that works with some of the other products you get.  That being said, I still don’t remember the last time I used a lipliner.  This one goes on smooth but it’s still a darker color I rarely wear.

NYC Ultra Moist Lip wear in Mocha-$2.99

This is soooo much darker on then it looks and it’s really an unflattering color on me to boot.  I’m glad it was the least expensive item in the bag so I won’t feel too bad about hiding it in a drawer and never letting it see the light of day again. On the plus side it went on really smooth and feels okay on, it just makes me look like I recently escaped form 1996.

The bag has a value of $27.98, which is good for the price I pay for it.  I kind of liked the makeup mixup they used to provide so I hope it hasn’t gone by the wayside with the new way they are trying out.  I think though that I will really only consistently use one product from this month so it’s a bit of a letdown but you can’t get perfect products every time.

If you want to get your own bag of lip products I’d be happy if you used my link.

MommiesFirst December 2014

MommiesFirst is a Canadian subscription box for moms and babies from when you are expecting up to their first birthday. They send out boxes based on your needs for wherever you are in that cycle. Boxes start at $30 a month and get a bit cheaper if you sign up for longer terms. They also offer one time boxes for showers and occasions. This is my last box from them as they only go up to 1 year of age with their boxes and Bear will be 1 next month.  I have to say though that I love this box and I am so disappointed I did not discover it sooner so I could get more of them. The have been full of things that are useful and needed for little ones.

The first look gives nothing away but the card is always personalized and this month is no exception. This month they congradulate me on everything baby has been through in a year and also there is a handwritten note wishing me Happy Holidays and saying that we will be missed.  It’s a great touch and I hope they never lose it when they become a huge company.

Under the paper was a bunch of things I could see would be perfect for Bear’s birthday next month.

They have great info cards, listing the item, how to use it, why they chose it, where you can find it again, the price, and a blurb about the company.  I think they are some of the best in the subscription box business at them. The fact that they come pinned together with a diaper pin is just a bonus.

Baby Touch and Feel Happy Birthday Book-$5.99

Bear loves books (mostly just to eat) and this is a sturdy board book with different textured pages to explore. We have tons of books in our house but not this one and I never pass up a chance to get more so this is perfect.

Goki Toys Puzzle

I can’t find a price on this but they say their toys are from $7.50 and up so somewhere around there I guess.  We have just found out how much fun it is to put things into bowls so this type of puzzle will be our next step.  I’m loving this toy!

Munchkin Snack Catcher-$3.99

I can’t wait to use this! Right now I’ve been going with a bowl with a lid that I have to open and close every time Bear wants a snack when we are out and it’s a pain in my backside.  This has easy grip sides for little fingers and you can write their name on the bottom if you need to.

Melissa & Doug Friendly Fish Grasping Toy-$7.99

We only have a few Melissa & Doug toys but they are such good quality that I’m happy for another.  These little fishies are easy for little hands to grab and they also fit together to make a little puzzle.  Bear is going to be thrilled!

Bright Starts Connect-A-Pals-$7.99

This is a ball with a body attached that can be mixed and matched if you have others.  Balls are big in this house so I think this will also become a favorite toy.

Parents Canada Magazine-$4.95

This is a bonus item for mommy and I say Thank You!  I really enjoy this magazine and am happy to get it.

All told this box has a value of $38.42.  I really can;t say enough about how much I love this box and highly recommend you picking up a subscription or individual box for anyone you know who is expecting.  They have great customer service and the products are high quality.  There also aren’t too many baby boxes that ship to Canada so supporting a Canadian company makes sense.

You can use my link to get a 5% discount on a subscription by clicking here.

Bare Bliss Box November 2014

Bare Bliss Box is an organic, vegan, and toxic free makeup and beauty product subscription.  You can subscribe month to month or in three month increments.  It is either $16.99 a month or $12.99 if you choose to pay in the three month option plus shipping to Canada of course. This box always takes a long time to get to me.  This month they had a shipping issue with one of their products so it went out even later then normal.  They actually had said that they product would be shipped out separately so that they could get the rest of the box out in a reasonable time but I received everything in my box so maybe mine was just going to be super late anyways.

20141224_142632 20141224_142708

November’s theme is I Heart My Skin and they tell you a few facts about your skin on the lid.

20141224_142650 20141224_142658

The info card gives you some tips on how to get healthy skin and the back lists the products and a bit about them.

Simplicity Cosmetics Vegan Mineral Eyeshadow in Moth-1g $7.00 Full Size

This is a handcrafted product and can be found on Etsy. This is a taupe shade with plum undertones according to the site and it is actually lighter then the picture makes it out to be.  I think it will be a great shade for me and I really like mineral makeup.

Southern Magnolia Minerals Cosmetics Sun Kiss Bronzer-1oz $4.50

This is a shimmery champagne colored powder bronzer.  I almost never wear bronzer but I think this would make a great blush as well, so that’s my plan for this one.  One of the great things I’ve found about the vegan/natural beauty boxes is that due to the inherent properties of mineral makeup they qualify for them and I think that’s great. I will always chose a mineral product if I can, I like them a lot.

Weleda Pomegranate Regenerating Body Lotion-20mL $1.65

This product is actually for mature skin but that has never stopped me before.  Also since it’s a body lotion not a face lotion I think it matters less.  It has a kind of refreshing scent but it’s not the best smelling thing ever.  It will get used but it’s not my favorite item to have received.

Void Beauty Vegan Nail Polish in Golden Child-$18.00 Full Size

This is the product that was supposed to be missing from the box.  I’m glad it made it though because this is a fabulous shade of nail polish!  It’s not an ostentatious gold color, but a classy deeper shade that is perfect for New Years or anytime really.  The one coat I swatched on gave good coverage and dried quickly. Beyond being vegan it is also 5 free.

This months box has a value of $31.15 and contained two full sized products.  It was an improvement over last month but still not wow worthy enough for me to renew after my three month subscription is up.  It is very affordable and if you are looking to try out these types of products then I think it’s a good place to start.  My biggest complaint with both of the vegan boxes I receive is that they ship very late in the month and take a long time to arrive to me, making me wonder when  or if I am ever going to get them.  I have been happy with the products I’ve had to try though so I guess that’s just nit-picking.

You can visit them by clicking here.

Kiwi Crate December 2014 & Advent Day 24

Kiwi Crate is a monthly craft and discovery box for children 3-12. They have recently expanded their options to boxes for specific ages or you can chose the regular one which is for all ages.  Kiwi crate is $19.95 a month but goes down with longer subscriptions.  I have seen plenty of deals out right now for them so I think you can even get lower pricing or free boxes if you search around. This months theme is Frozen Fun, not like the movie but winter frozen.

The box is always neatly packaged. I didn’t take a photo of the underside this time but all the pieces are individually wrapped and separated so you can find the pieces you need without any hassle when the kids are restless and in need of entertainment.

Project one is My Snowman Toss. It requires low grownup ininvolvement and utilizes exploring, creating, and gross moving skills.

Project two is My Winter Luminaries. It has medium grownup involvement and utilizes creating, discovering and fine moving skills.

All of the Kiwi Crates so far have been huge hits with Bug.  It gives her and I a chance to do something together while Bear naps.  The luminary one should be a bit challenging for Bug since she’s only 3 but she’ll have fun playing with the glue.

If you want to sign up I would love it if you use my link

In the final day of the Advent Calendar adventure I received the following two items,

FakeUp and White Musk Perfume. Not the most exciting finish to them but they are okay.  My overall impressions are okay of the two but I know now for the future that I will not be getting the Benefit one again.  It had too many non cosmetic products for what they are asking for it and the sample sizes were super small.  The Body Shop one was better but I would have preferred that all the scents were not grouped in consecutive days.  Maybe I’m just being picky.

Here’s hoping Santa brings you everything you wished for!!

Embellished Boxes December 2014 & Advent Day 23

Embellished Boxes is a monthly box that sends you what you need to create two crafts. They focus on using items that you have around your home or that are inexpensive to purchase.  You get instructions and everything you need to complete the two projects. Subscriptions are $14.32 a month including shipping.  I was hoping for a holiday craft this month and was not disappointed.  Even better is that Embellished is a Canadian company.

20141218_155639 20141218_155704

The cards inside list what you’ve been given to craft with and the instructions.  I’m not sure if it’s standard but the two months I’ve received, each craft is only three steps to complete.  The box was packaged full of wrapped items to make Stocking Silverware Holders and Blue Flaked Ornaments.

Mini sewing set for the stockings.

Ribbons and bells.

The ornaments and glitter for inside them.

The felt for the stockings.

I haven’t had a chance to get at these projects yet but as soon as I do I will add some finished pictures.  Last months crafts were great and I think this months will be even better.  I like that they are not super difficult but still provide a different skill then you might use everyday.  I am always looking for new craft ideas and love trying different ones so this box is really fun for me.

I managed to finish the Christmas balls and I think they look fantastic!  They were a bit of a mess to fill but beyond that pretty easy.

I got the stockings done finally as well.  I made two, but there was more then enough of everything to make four if I wanted to.  I decided to save the cute little sewing kit though and just used some of my own thread.  These quite honestly took me ten minuted total, from tracing and cutting to final stitch and they are cute to boot.

Just a quick show of the treats today, as I’ve got company and it seems like maybe it would be wrong to ignore them to post on the blog…..

As you can see the Xmas table cloth made it out. Shea Body Butter and Chachatint Lip & Cheek Stain.

Petit Vour November 2014 & Advent Day 22

My Petit Vour for November finally showed up.  I actually got my shipping notice for Decembers box on the same day. Petit Vour is a luxury vegan and cruelty free monthly beauty box.  It is $23 a month and there is no commitment to any length of time. This month they have teamed up with The Little Foxes blog to bring items that are natural givers, meaning they have multiple benefits.

20141218_153801 20141218_153823

The first look gave nothing away at all.  The card talks about the partnership and lists the items and full size retails.

Au Naturale Creme Eye Shadow & Creme Concealer

I’m not sure if they sent out all of the available shade options but I received Palma eye shadow and beige concealer.  As you can see there was also a code for a discount off of your first order.  The shadow is a great bronze color that blends easily,  The concealer is also luckily as good color match for me.  Both samples are really small though.

Caru Skincare Co. Rose Facial Serum

A few drops are supposed to keep skin soft, supple and plump to help fight wrinkles and premature aging.  It smells quite strongly of roses (shock) so I don’t know that I want to use this daily on my face. The single drop I put on my hand absorbed quickly though and surprisingly is not greasy.  The bottle conveniently comes with a dropper to apply it with.

Earthbody Sacred Skincare Dream Body Oil-1oz $5.75

This is supposed to enhance mental clarity while restoring moisture. I think it smells horrible. I’m not sure which ingredient I am opposed to but this will only be used far from my head and only if I’m super dry and in dire need. On the up side it’s a big enough sample that I can put a value to.

French Girl Cosmetics Lip Tint in Cerise-$11.00 Full Size

This on the other hand smells great.  The color is not as dark as it looks and has a slight shimmer that makes my lips look fantastic.  I tried to check out the rest of the colors and products from them and they are only sold on Etsy and they have closed the store for the holidays so I was out of luck.  This was a big win for me.

This wasn’t my favorite box of stuff that I’ve received.  I don’t care for the body oil at all and the rose oil is so strong that I think it would five me a headache.  The eye shadow and lip tint were awesome though.  Last months was better so I’m going to give them another month to see if they can win me back over.

You can visit their site here.

Today from under the flaps of my calendars I received,

20141222_090733 20141222_090811

Badgal Lash Mascara and Wild Argan Oil Body Lotion. Primp and soften today, I’m happy.  Only a few days left!

Ipsy December 2014 & Advent Day 21

Ispy is a beauty subscription that comes in a bubble mailer. It is $10USD per month and includes deluxe samples and full sized products. All of your products come in a reusable makeup bag. This months theme is Inspiring Original.  All Ipsy bags are selected for the individual person so there is a wide variety of products possible to receive.

Cailyn Just Mineral Eye Polish in Orchid-$15.00 Full Size

I love this!  The color is fabulous and so sparkly! This might not be an everyday eyeshadow but I want to find a way to make it so.  The fact that it’s mineral eyeshadow makes it even better.

Coolway Boost Repair Mask-1oz. $3.75

I really hope this is awesome because my hair has hit the after pregnancy stage where all my thickness has fallen out and winter has made it lackluster.  However I have waist length hair so this is about one application based on their recommended usage.  Maybe once is enough?

Crown Brush Infinity Shadow/Crease Duet Brush-$6.99

I’m not sure why I have never thought to use a double sided brush.  It makes so much more sense then having two brushes out to get hijacked by a preschooler.  I received a Crown brand brush in another box and liked it so I think this will become a daily item.

NYX Cosmetics Butter Lip Balm in Marshmallow-$4.00 Full Size

I like the color and feel of this balm.  It’s good for wearing anytime and I think it’ll provide nice softening for my lips too.  If it smelt like marshmallows that would be better though. Just sayin’.

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4in1 Mascara-3mL $10.00

I don’t feel you can have to many mascaras.  It’s something I never leave the house without wearing and these sample sizes don’t last for long enough for them to go dry before I get to them.  This one is supposed to do everything you could want a mascara to do, so it might move up the queue.

For day 21 in my advent calendars I received,

20141221_092047 20141221_092127

Eye shadow brush and Watt’s Up!Soft Focus Highlighter For Face.  Both of these are really nice and I am happy with today’s offerings.  Sorry the pics are a bit wonky, I’ve got two sick babies and things are a bit rushed around here.

Luxe Box by Loose Button Winter 2014 & Advent Day 20

Luxe Box is a quarterly box that sends out 7-8 trial sized beauty and lifestyle discoveries every season.  It is a Canadian box which is nice and shipping is included in the pricing.  Each box is $26 or you can sign up for a year for $96, so a slight discount. They also had a few upgrade options if you wanted but I stuck with the standard box.

This fabulous box came inside an outer regular cardboard box.  This is super study and really feels like a quality box.

20141217_152530 20141217_152553

Even the inside of the box is fancy. All the products come in a satiny drawstring bag. All of this packaging is reusable and that’s a nice change from packing squiggles that I have to remove from Bear’s mouth.

There is no info card but you can log in to your account and see the product descriptions. There was also a card from Skyn Iceland telling about a giveaway.

Suki Skincare Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser-30mL $10.95

This is a 100% pure ingredient sugar scrub for your face.  It smells just like lemon bars and I want to lick it out of the tub!  It promises to help smooth and even skin tone, reduce the appearance of blemishes, aging, wrinkles and fine lines while rejuvenating the complexion. It sounds wonderful and I hope it comes through for me.

Burt’s Bees Lip Crayon in Redwood Forest-$9.99 Full Size

I love Burt’s Bees products. I think I’ve tried over half of what they carry and am never sad when I do.  This lip crayon is no exception.  It looks like it would be dark but it goes on lighter and is a perfect everyday color.  Happy, happy, happy!

Loose Button Eyelash Curler-$20.00

First off I totally disagree with their pricing on this.  It’s nothing special and I know you can pick one up for waaaaay less. That aside I have an eyelash curler (I think it might be two even) and I never use it. Ever. I can’t be bothered and honestly if my mascara isn’t giving me the lift and curl I want I’ll just try a different one instead of spending time and effort to use a curler. Maybe I’m just lazy but this is not a win for me.

Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo-30mL $10.00

I’ve received a few dry shampoos now in boxes and I haven’t had to break one out yet. However I am really wanting to try them and once I go back to work they will be more useful to me then now.  Depending on what shampoo I’m using I sometimes get oily roots after only one day so I can’t wait.

Paula’a Choice Clinical KP Treatment Cloths-10 $14.00

These are not cleansing wipes but ones that you use to clear up acne or those little red bumps that appear on your body.  I’ve never heard of this type of wipe but it seems like something useful.

Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Face Gels for Smile Lines-1pr $4.38

These are made to go just around your mouth to help reduce smile lines.  I personally think if you’re going to get lines those are probably good ones but I can see why you might be wanting to get rid of them.  I’m sure I can’t look any more ridiculous wearing these then I do in a mask so I’ll be trying them out.

Nicole by OPI Nail Polish in Profoundly Purple-3.75mL $3.99

This is such a cute little bottle of polish.  It’s maybe a third of the size of regular. However I think they got my color wrong.  It seems like a brown/bronze on my test nail, not purple.  I like it though.  It has a really fine micro shimmer thing going on too.

Butter London Lippy Moisture Matte Lipstick Sample

You had the option to upgrade this to a full sized lipstick for $10 if you wanted to. As you can see I did not.  There would be enough product for one application under the foil.

The Winter Luxe Box had an overall value of $73.31 if you count the curler at their price.  Pretty good for the $24 I paid and full of products I like and want to use.  I think there were a few other different things sent out in some boxes based on your profile but for my first one, having no idea what to expect I am happy.

On day 20 of opening flaps in my Advent calendars I received,

Shea Shower Cream and Ultra Plush Lip Gloss in Fauxmance.

I’m happy with these ones today.  A great smelling shower gel and a lip gloss in a color I love.  Yay day 20!!
