Indulge Me Box is a brand new Canadian monthly box. Boxes cost $20 per month with free shipping to Canada, but do get cheaper with longer subscriptions. Each box will include a mix of skin care, makeup, accessories and surprise gifts. They also promise to include at least five items in each box. After a bit of a hassle involving Canada Post and a holiday messing up delivery schedules I managed to finally get my box.
Just before receiving the box they sent out an email letting everyone know that for this first month the box would just be plain and that there would be no info card, but they promise next month will be like the perfect gift and have a card. The email did let you know what products were included just like a card would.
Benefit Cosmetics The Porefessional-7.5mL $12.00
I’ve been having a bit of a love affair with primers lately so I’m super happy to get this. While the outer packaging says not for sale I can buy this exact size product at Sephora so I think it’s a good sized sample.
Clinique Moisture Surge-30mL $21.00
I have never used any Clinique products before but have always wanted to. I thought this was a cleanser but it’s actually a lotion that will plump up skin for up to 24 hours.
Butr Handmade Soap-$4.00
There is no scent listed on this bar but it smells really good and fresh. This is about a half size bar from what they sell. Also included was a code to get a free bar with purchase of seven from their Etsy shop.
MAC Eye Kohl in Teddy-1.45g $18.00 Full Size
This is a really nice dark coppery brown shade. I am loving the liners I’ve been receiving from my boxes and am trying colours I probably would never have thought to buy.
Indulge Me Necklace-$10.00
This is the one item I’m really not thrilled with. I definitely wouldn’t pay $10.00 for this. It feels and looks quite cheap and the “gem” in the center isn’t even glued on straight. I know they plan to include accessories in the boxes which I like but if this is indicative of what we will be getting I’d rather they stick to the other products. I will get more use out of the baggie it came in then the necklace.
Overall I was happy with this first box from Indulge Me. It had a value of $55.00 without the necklace so still well above what I paid. I think it will go uphill from here for them and really hope it does because I’d like a Canadian company to succeed. They have said upcoming boxes will contain products from Allison’s and L’Occitane and also a December box spoiler is out and there will be a scarf included so looking forward to that.
