e.l.f. Beauty Bundle is a makeup box that ships every 8 weeks. They ship out a variety of makeup and brushes from their own lines. They have an assortment of products based on a central theme for that box. This months bundle was Back To Beauty School, everything you need for a full eyes, lips, and face look. The box starts at $19.99 every other month and promises to ship at least double that in the value of products. It ships in a black box with their logo on it and looks good.
Inside was a product card and under that was a drawstring bag covered with hot pink tissue paper.
The card details the products and gives a retail value for all of them. It continued on to the back and there was also a code for a discount if you ordered from their online store.
Eye Primer & Liner Sealer-$3
The eye primer is great to stop smudging and bleeding of eye products. I’ve never used a liner sealer before but it says that you apply a dark eye shadow as a liner and then go over it with the sealer. It locks it in and makes it like a liquid liner. Definitely going to give it a try.
HD Undereye Setting Powder-$3
This powder is supposed to camouflage fine lines, dark circles and imperfections. Can’t go wrong with that.
Liquid & Pencil Eyeliner Set-$3
This has a brown and black liquid liner and a shimmery black pencil liner with a built in sharpener. I have a fear of liquid liners so this will be a good way for me to practice without worrying about the money I’ve wasted if I hate it.
The colour is called Back to Basics and its a nice soft bronze shimmer that can be used as a eyeshadow or liner. It is really subtle and I love it.
Volume Plumping Mascara-$3
You can never have enough black mascara.
The colour is Barely Bitten and it’s a browny rose shade. It looks quite dark but goes on shimmery so it’s not super crazy. A good everyday lipstick and it’s mineral to boot so no funky stuff in it.
13 Piece Face & Lip Palette-$8
Two bronzers, two blushes, and nine lipglosses make this a larger sized case if you were going to use it for on the go touchups as they say. Also the lack of eye product means you’d be bringing another case. The brushes included are also the typical crappy small useless tools that get thrown out the second these things are opened. I do like the colours and will definitely use this but it’ll just live on my counter, not the bottom of my bag.
Powder Puffs set of 4-$1
Another thing you can’t really have to many of since they tend to get kind of grimy after a while.
Professional Complete Set of 12 Brushes-$12
This was the big ticket item in this box. You get a total face brush, bronzing blush, foundation brush, brow comb and brush, eyeliner brush, smudge eye sponge, blending eye brush, eyeshadow brush, lash & brow brush, defining eye brush, concealer brush, and lip defining brush. New brushes are great and to get a complete set is cool too.
As you can tell from the prices e.l.f. is typically a drug store brand but they have good products and I’ve always been happy when I have purchased them in the past. The only issue I had with this box was that they valued the products on the shipping label at $100, total actual value just over $40, so I had to pay duty on it. I have sent them an email regarding this and hope it will be corrected for future boxes.
